It was either Ice Hockey or Duck Hunt, can't remember which.
Don't know the name, and no idea what system it was since i was at a friends house and knew nothing about consoles. It was a racing game on a system released prior to the ps1/n64.
Combat!! - Atari 2600
It was a pack in game with my Atari.... Loved it. Deathmatch before the internet was even a thing... Hell, it was death match before the 80s had even taken off!
Still, a really fun way to settle a dispute with a friend. Rock paper scissors or perhaps a game of rubber ball tanks on Combat!!

That was my first as well!
A Capcom Contra clone called Codename Viper on the NES. The main character had desert camo pants on but the graphics where so bad he just looked like a pant-less killer with a gun running around, which, at the time, provided a high level of entertainment for 8 year old me.
That's a great question. Truthfully: I don't remember my very first game. I remember my Dad showing me an old Atari 2600 console (the new one). Looking back now it's actually cool I enjoyed playing the classics from an early age. I didn't play my first modern game until the Cars video game on the game cube. The first game I enjoyed on GameCube was Star Fox: Assault. I hope my answer isn't too in-depth.
Probably Super Mario Bros. on my cousin's NES.
At least it wasn't AssCreed, and i am thankful for that.

I don't exactly remember the first game I ever played, but like the tc I do remember being around 4 and being blown away the first time I saw Mario Bros... so probably that. Still love a lot of Mario games to this day.
I'm pretty sure it was Bart vs The Space Mutants. And I'm also pretty sure it was on the Commodore 64.
You basically had no clue what you were doing in that game but Bart Simpsons was a hero for me with catch phrases like "Don't have a cow" or "Cool your jets, man" so of course I had a blast playing as him.
Pong was my first. Sub Hunt was the first game I spent a lot of time on. The one I remember the most was this tooth brushing game called tooth invaders. Not sure why i tender remember it so much. Now that I've dated myself considering sub hunt launched in 1982.
Some game on commodore 64. Can't quite remember, but the first i remember playing, was Mario on NES :)
