I would say Fable 2 getting 8.5. Should of been AAA. Crackdown getting A was another one that comes to mind, and the original Mass Effect. Please say which one was the most unfair flop. Thanks

Either Crackdown or Alan Wake. Alan Wake should have been AAA, and Crackdown AA imo.Anjunaddict
I agreed with them on Alan Wake because I thought it got too repetitive, that game started off awesome but definitely was not as fun as I came close to ending it.
I totally agree. It was unfair of them to express their opinion that you don't agree with. Who do they think they are.Skittles_McGee
didnt ask for your opinion and Gamespot is the best at reviews and we go by them, they are untitled to be off once in a while so we discuss. Please leave the thread if you dont have anything other than that to offer.
I can't think of one really. I agree with the range of alot of the scores for games here.FlamesOfGrey
that is fair they are the best at what they do for sure.

Actually, you did ask for my opinion. This thread is asking for opinions. And what's the deal. I was being totally serious. I even agreed. You don't want me to agree? Should I disagree? So uncool. I thought we were bros.Either Crackdown or Alan Wake. Crackdown was not underrated as well. THE BIGGEST 360 unfair flop was Lost Odyssey!!!

I don't think they are the best. However, for the 360 I don't have a disagreement with most of their scores that I can recall. If we were talking about handhelds and JRPG's then I would most likely have alot of disgreements with Gamespots review scores.[QUOTE="ProjectNatalFan"][QUOTE="Skittles_McGee"]I totally agree. I never beat the game but for the hours I put into it a few years ago, I didn't enjoy anything but the dream sequences. The ring system implemented in the combat was poor unlike the one in Shadow Hearts IMO and the story didn't pull me in enough to continue on.
Mass Effect
Halo Wars
Lost Odyssey
Crackdown

Oh and Halo 3 should have got the 10/10 and GOTY or at the very least FPS OTY. :P

I definitely agree with Lost Odyssey's score. FlamesOfGreyApparently that's blasphemy in System Wars. In my experience anyway. You're not allowed to think Lost Odyssey was just a "good" RPG.

I'm not gonna lie, it's a lot better than I anticipated. I think the Gametrailers review was pretty spot on.
I never get why people think Mass Effect deserve AAA. The 360 version had poor framerate and a decent amount pop in. The general game itself had poor planet exploration due to horrid Mako controls, nearly empty planets with poor design and repetitive base layouts.Mass Effect hands down.
ImaPirate0202
i do not bother looking at gamespot's scores because they usually do not know what they are talking about. i only look at metacritic or watch gametrailers reviews..i like to see the game that is being reviewed.
but i will list some games on the 360 i think deserve to be talked about. kameo and banjo nuts and bolts were both good. nobody talks PGR but it is a solid franchise that kept getting better. alan wake was not a AAA game but it was a great game and was actually unique. viva pinata gets a bad rap but i think it is good for people who like that sort of thing. in other words i didn't hate playing it.
No way! How else would we know it's actually worse than Crysis :D:) One of these days..[QUOTE="SecretPolice"]

If they're the best at reviews, then it wasn't totally unfair with their reviews and scores...right?Alan Wake for sure. AW should have easily been a 9.0 or 9.5.
The fact that AW only got an 8.5 and GTA4 got a 10 is just proof that reviews are nothing more than opinions, and most of the time they are wrong.

^^ This. ME1 was "good" at best, but not AAA material in any way (at least on 360).
Alan Wake for sure. AW should have easily been a 9.0 or 9.5.

Their opinions are wrong because you don't agree with them? Of course. Didn't you know there's a criteria for how right or wrong your opinion is? Keep up with the times, manAlan Wake for sure. AW should have easily been a 9.0 or 9.5.

To each his own. I thought the games problems were miniscule when compared to it's combat, storyline, music, voice acting... all of the things I loved about it.
The Mako controls were pretty bad, though.

I think it's AA but not AAA. The storyline, voice acting, and music were great. The graphics were good but the combat felt unfinished and ME2 just confirmed my thoughts on that when I played it. I really didn't get much pop in with ME1. I liked the controls for the Mako but the missions were slightly drawn out. Lets remember you didn't have to do those missions, your choice. The pro's far out weigh the cons. And compared to other AAA titles, its a no brainer.I never get why people think Mass Effect deserve AAA. The combat was pretty average, the story didn't really go anywhere for half the game, and the voice acting was "okay" since characters didn't seem to have much emotion in their diologe for the most part (Shephard was the worst offender of this).
i don't put enough stock into reviews to care. both fable and alan wake scores were pretty much on the money for me. they were good games that i enjoyed but nothing mind blowing.I would say Fable 2 getting 8.5. same with mass effect, at the time i was saying good game but omg can thecombat get any clunkier and wth is up with the damn elevators?
And I'll add a multiplat:
I think TC is asking for peoples own opinions on what was an unfair flop.
[QUOTE="Chrome-"]Alan Wake or Halo Wars.ProjectNatalFan
I agree Halo Wars was very tough review.
No it wasn't it got compared to a PC RTS, when it happened all the lems lost their minds and said it was unfair, but when a hermit brings up that the PC has higher standards .... On topic, I thought Crackdown was much better than the score it got. Please Log In to post.
