Are they really going to put pokemon diamond on virtual console?

[QUOTE="WAIW"]Please...every gen has their share of poorly designed pokemon Mr. mime, Jynx, Magmar (lava duck with a butt on it's forehead) Magniton (three magnemites glued together) Weezing (three koffings glued together) etc.First; the formula was refreshing back then. A dozen games later, and it loses some of the charm.
Plus, the Pokemon designs they're resorting to now are just ridiculous. The first generation was the most diverse and more realistic (while still not realistic) than 2, 3 and 4.

True, but it seems to me later generations have even larger quantities of screwed up Pokemon than the first. Loudred haunts my dreams.
Third generation gave us mudkips. So it wins.
Joking aside. second generation was probably the best since it added a lot of features like held items, breeding, genders, day/night, phone, etc. Third-generation comes a close second though because it had a major visual overhaul over the first two generations and it refined most of the things added in generation 2 even though it dropped some of them.
Mr.Mime, Weezing, Magmar and Magneton = Win.Shinobishyguyyou probably wouldn't be saying that if they were introduced during the 3rd or 4th gen Why not? They are pure awesomeness. Especially Mr. Mime and Magmar.

If you don't like any of the new pokemon, form a team of 1st/2nd gen pokemon. It's simple as that. The platinum sinnoh dex especially has alot of old favorites.[QUOTE="Shinobishyguy"][QUOTE="WAIW"]First; the formula was refreshing back then. Silver/Gold/Crystal easily. Sure, Red/Blue/Yellow hold places in people's hearts because they came first but the 2nd generation were easily the best designed Pokemon games.

Yea, that's what I did, and yes a few of my favorite pokemon are in Sinnoh. It's also pretty cool what they're doing with Pokemon like Deoxys and the like (alternate forms), and it'd be pretty cool to get a starter like that in the next-gen Pokemon. It's just annoying to start a new game and be greeted by Bidoofs instead of Rattattas :|
I caught the red Gyarados and nicknamed it but recently lost my GBA and most of my good games on a bus fire (I was coming from a Band trip and...well...whatever...) so I can't play it again but oh well. :( Oh and If ya can't tell I liked Crystal/Gold/Sliver. I stopped watching Pokemon after the season with the Emerald pokemon so I lost interest with the games as well.My favourite Pokemon generation was Red/Blue/Yellow...What!? Yes, I'm quite aware that Gold/Silver/Crystal was better in every single way. It even included the Kanto region from RBY. However, unlike GSC, I raised a Magikarp from Lv. 15 to a Lv. 100 Gyarados. That pathetic excuse for a Pokemon evolving into a Hyper Beam-ing machine was one of my happiest moments in gaming.Sure, you could do the same in GSC or any other generation, GSC had a red Gyarados which was awesome in it's own right, but the fact remains that RBY did it first for me.

Any other than Gold/Silver/Crystal is wrong.

yeah pretty much it all started to get downhill after G/S/C
I think the G/S/C gen was the best for its time. It had so many new features like breeding,day/night cycle. And most of the new pokemon were actually cool, which is rare in these newer gens.
followed by Red/Blue, Diamond/Pearl and Ruby/Sapphire.
Ruby/Sapphire is the worst of them all for its time, although the Battle Frontier in Emerald was awesome.
That being said, I would never go back to play the older generations after playing the newer ones. Its almost unbearable.

Point taken, you win :D I love Gyarados. But G/S/C is still better IMO.
