What was your first RPG?

The first one I seriously played was Pokemon Crystal. I can't even remember how I really got into JRPGs but I'm glad I did. Must have been Pokemon. :P

My first game I remember is Super Mario Bros 3. Game that got me into gaming was Ocarina of Time. Game that got me into JRPGs was probably Crystal. Can't remember when I developed a really love for the genre but I;m glad I do now.

I've got no idea. I've played my fair share of RPGs and the memories of all the accumlated games comes together to block out any memory of which was first.

Actually radiant historia lacks alot of the cliches that JRPGs carry. There are no big spiky hairdos and what not, and the plot is both fantasy and politically driven. It's a pretty fantastic game.

But if you mean strictly video games, that would be Dragon Warrior (NES).

I think it was FF4, can't remember.

Beyond Oasis. I think Final Fantasy 7 or Panzer Dragoon RPG was the only JRPG's I ever beat. These days JRPG's do nothing for me. In fact most Japanese made games do nothing for me. Games like The Witcher, Fallout Vegas, The Mass Effect series, and Fable blows that JRPG crap out of the water.

Everyone has said Blue and like three people said Red. I mean, c'mon guys. Yellow! That's my sh*t! Me and my fully maxed out Pikachu! All the kids in the second grade were always like "Dude why is your Pikachu so high a level? Why don't you use a good Pokemon?" But man they just never understood man, they never understood. It was all about the passion man, the dream to be the very best with my Pikachu. And I was! I'm about to get a twinkle in my eye, dog. I miss my Pikachu!

I still love this game, even though it's so simple and easy.
