What was your preferred platform of 2018?

Xbox one X. FH4 and gamepass sealed the deal over a PS4 for me. Having family and friends with Xbox’s and gamepass has been amazing fun as it means you all have the same games to play although it’s FH4 every night at the moment

PC by far

PC, eventhough it missed out on some games that I really want to play:

• RDR2
• Spyro

Second would be PS4, which had a fantastic year.

Mighty X1X 4K BC GP of course, it's the all in One MonsterBox and having it means nothing else wanted or needed.

PC has been and always will be my preferred platform, but this year I've had a love affair with my Switch. Just picked up Into the Breach for it last night - perfect Game for the platform :-)

And as always, it's accompanied by a healthy dose of Nintendo.

With that said, anyone else playing Smash Ultimate right now? It grabbed me, and it ain't letting go. There's something about unlocking characters in fighting games, I've no idea why I think it's as fun as I do. That aside, it's also easily the best Smash Bros. game since Melee.

PS4 and Mac. Catching up on all the exclusives so PS4 has been my preferred platform this year.

I wouldn't put PC on these lists since it pretty much wins by default every year unless you don't game on PC. It is much interesting to compare the consoles.

I've played and enjoyed PlayStation but gamepass have saved me so much money it has to be Xbox.

PC, not had the urge to buy a modern console as they really don't offer anything new.. The switch does but as I have a wiiu there really isn't anything I want to play on it till bayo 3. Other consoles are a joke with nothing but dodge role games.

Switch followed by PC. I enjoy some multiplats on Xbox and Im not sure why I even keep the PS4 as it's been hardly used this year.

PC being better is true, but this specific poll is about what you 'prefer'. You don't always prefer what's factually better.

I still think it's pretty unnecessary to have this poll in a forum that's mostly filled with Sony fanboys, though. Same amount of Sony fanboys, same poll results.

Xbox One X, then Switch, and I don't know if I played anything on my PC that I couldn't play on my One X.

For 2018, I bought one game for my PS4 (which I later sold along with the console), one game for my Xbox One, and eight games for my Nintendo Switch, so therefore the Switch was definitely my favorite of 2018.

PS4 and it wasn't even a,close race, they knocked it out of the park yet again.

Xbox One for me. I prefer the controller, online, and overall ecosystem so it’s my choice to play the multi platform games on along. I also really enjoy most of the exclusive games on it.

The PS4 had a great year and has the most awards and nominations in exclusive games overall in the industry and it's not even winning by a landslide on the poll. I think the amount of Sony fanboys here is grossly exaggerated.

We shall see.. The poll is young. :P

The one with Forza Horizon 4 and gamepass.

PC. I've been playing mostly older games all year. Yet, the mods I used in some of them altered the gameplay enough to make them feel new again.

Surprisingly even results so far. I voted for the Nintendo Switch because it's the most flexible and versatile system on the market with a great library of games. Even though I have Civilization VI, Diablo III, and Skyrim on my PC, I prefer playing them on the Switch.

PC and not even close, though recently Game Pass has had me really enjoying my X1, behind that would probably be my PS Vita.

X1X. Gamepass, BC, rdr2 in 4k, uhd movies, preference in controllers, online, FPS and driving games.

tbh despite a lack of exclusives xbox (1X) has still ended up with most of my gaming time this year with PC coming in a close second.

Initially i was just going to say PC but the more i think about it i think the switch has the most usage for me this year. xenoblade 2, octopath traveller, MHGU and a few other bits and bobs has kind of edged the PC out for me this year.

on the PC front its mostly been F1 2017 (a lot of F1 2017) and tomb raider since the above switch games are all huge and take up a lot of time. The PC is ending the year strong for me though and there are tons of games i want to get for it. Its not like there is any shortage.

PS4 of course.

JUST FCKIN LOL if you choose PC, no AAA exclusives and missing out the GOTY. Sucks for hermits

Switch.

PC is the only platform that provides a consistently good gaming experience and, if your not a cow who is duty-bound to defend the PS4, has the best library of games you could ask for.

Switch is good, I'd probably like it more if I did more gaming on the go.

X1X is a solid platform with great hardware. Game Pass and Play Anywhere make it waaay more appealing.

PS4 only has a few weeks worth of quality exclusive, and is arguably the worst place to play anything else. You can count the worthwhile exclusives on one hand. Bloodborne is by far the best game it offers, and it runs poorly (very sad that there's no PS4Pro patch).

I only have PC, so...

PC/PS4. I've been using them pretty equally over the past two years.

Look at the xbox percentage.

The thing is most of those people voting for PC would normally vote for the PS4 and Switch to a lesser extend since the PS4 is a good complement for PC so the PS4 would have a boost in votes in some other polls that don't involve PC. The same wouldn't happen with the X1 since it is completely redundant with PC. But that doesn't mean there is a bigger amount of Sony fans here, I think all factions have leveled representation.

PS4 for me, plays the games I wanted to play most this year. I do play my Xbox quite a bit too with friends.

This year was Xbox, Switch and PS4. By that order, but while the Switch was fairly used the PS4 not so much.

Indeed, that's why all PS4 exclusives this year are highly rated on almost every site with high metascores, meawwhile PC has no AAA exclusive this year of note and only has subpar indie 2D garbage that my old toaster can play on 4K/60fps.

That's still the exception to the rule though, most games with a high metascore...are good.
