What was your preferred platform of 2018?

oh really? GTA 5, GTA4 got 10, COD sell millions each years, PUBG sold 50 million, shadow of mordor got GOTY 2014, overwatch got GOTY 2016. etc etc.

lot of games got 90 plus on meta and awards are probably crap including games that sell more than 50 millions.

sony exclusive are no better. if they were multiplat, no once would care.

God of War and The Last of Us are both really overrated. They would still have won most of those awards if they were multiplatform games, because that's the kind of shallow cinematic action experience people want and find artistic (lol) now. Movies do what these games try to do ten times better. God of War in particular is just dull and depressing. The old games were superior.

Edit: I wanna add about God of War being depressing that it fails even when it tries to lighten up with comedy, because it's the trashy modern kind of comedy, the awkward, extremely misplaced stuff you see in new Disney movies, that only idiots in the cinema laugh at.

Even with my PS4, PC remains my preferred (and only actively used) platform in all of 2018. I know there are some fantastic PS4 releases like GOW, Spiderman, and Detroit. Just that I don't intend to pay full price ($80 CDN is disgusting) and while I wait for good price drops, my Steam library has me fully occupied.

So around 10-20% are still average even with high metascores, that still leaves most games with high metascores being legit good.

Cope all you want, but PC is a barren wasteland when it comes to AAA games this gen.

You seem to disregard multiplat games a lot. Seeing as the vast majority of good games are multiplats and they are best on PC, it is silly to hype exclusives over multiplats. I have the consoles for the exclusives, but they are shit as a primary platform compared to PC. Also, most of the exclusives run at 30fps with no option to play them properly. That is pathetic. Not even the Pro or X can run games properly because of their shit CPUs being a bottleneck. Like I always say... if you care about quality, PC is the only option as a primary platform.

Mine is Xbox, then Switch, then PC, then the PS4 barely even registers. Xbox One is the all around best console in my opinion. It has top tier exclusives, Japanese games, and is the best console for multiplats as well.

Xbox One X of course.

If you don't play games like RDR 2 on the X, you're doing it wrong.

Xbox One easily. Playstation with all its ‘exclusives’ aren’t games I’d buy, their online notwork is horrible, and their future is rather bleak. The Switch has one game I’d buy and it’s paid online service is a sad joke. As a console gamer, PCs aren’t my thing - even though I own one.

PC easily. I would like a PS4 eventually, but can't justify paying 300+ for 3 games.

Switch. I love indies and I also appreciate the pick up and play aspect since the year's been hectic. PS4 also got some run. PC has been the odd man out but that will change in January when I have time.

Switch took second due to Smash and fun with the kids.

PC third. I actually played a game on it this year when I installed Unreal Tournament 2004. Good times.

PC, the best platform.

PC then PS4.

XBOX One, but only by a bare margin. I've only had the Switch for about ten or eleven months, but that follows it.

Both have Bethesda games I'm replaying frequently (FO4 for BONE, Skyrim for Switch), but one has MUCH better BC (been playing the likes of SSX 3, BloodRayne 2, Crimson Skies, Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter, and Black as a result) than the other.

Switch for me, although most of the games for it I played were ones I got last year. The PS4 came in a pretty close second.

PC and Switch. All of those who somehow think I'm wrong for liking those two systems and think I should like something else can go **** themselves.
