Cosign except that I did like the story a lot.

Yeah I know a lot of people did. I kinda didn't though, coz, as I know sci-fi a fair bit, Mass Effect seemed like a huge mish-mash of previous science fiction stories all rolled into one.

DMC4 and NG2. My problem with these two games are, what would be the point of playing difficult games when the game isn't difficult?PSdual_wielder
What difficulty did you play in NG2?
Because from what I've been reading (and looking at NGB) it really shines in the higher difficulties.

halo3 for its lackluster SP. i'd love to smack bungie for ruining the perfection that was halo ce...
farcry2 for its god awful repitition and laughable amount of driving. there is so much win in this game, so many great ideas, damn you ubi!!!
mirrors edge is a game i love. i loved it the first time i set eyes on it. but man, the game just wasn't what i expected. like i said though, still love it to death :)
rfom was one of the games i really wanted a ps3 for. i finally got sick of 3rod and switched over and wow, that game was a horrible, generic little pos. that was a dark DARK day for me. good thing that wasn't the best game on the ps3 as so many believed. there was better games out there than that garbage...
[QUOTE="Vandalvideo"][QUOTE="obamanian"]Sounds like you just described Fable 2. Yeah, one decently long install wasn't that bad to go through, but the up to 15 second load times for Fable 2 felt much worse, especially when the camera turns the wrong way when you enter a new area, so you end up going back, then you have to come to the new area again, so its up to like 45 seconds of loading in the end. Seriously, Fable 2 wasn't that bad at all. The only thing that sucked was it's pitiful attempt to make an emotional ending.Metal Gear Solid 4, the visuals in the small levels look mediocre, and everything looks empty
Plus the gameplay is very limited and repeatetive, i could not believe how boring it was and how many installs and loadings i had to go through to play asuch tiny linear levels
The worst and most last gen experience i had from a game i bought
110million

Sounds like you just described Fable 2. lol, agreed.Nothing has been such a huge disappointment to me yet, but if I had to choose it'd be Assassin's Creed. At first it was fun, but I soon began to realize how repetitive it was. I wasted $60 on it, I could've used that money to buy a better game.
But Sonic the Hedgehog is far from a flop this generation. Sonic 06 was great and Sonic Unleashed is nothing but an improvement and stands as my personal Game of the Year. (2008.)
Alone in the DarkPAL360Ahh yes alone in the dark I had such high expectations for the game, though it wasn't bad it certainly wasn't stellar like it could have been. I Beat it on 360 and picked up the Inferno version recently hopefully the fixs up make the game better.
altho i still enjoy my PS3, the letdown was immense the first couple of years. I had it since release date, but it really only started delivering when MGS4 came out. So PS3 was and still is to some degree my major disappointment. :|BiancaDKHaha. I could've told you that would be before it came out. Then again, I was similarly foolish in regards to the Wii, so w/e.
So easy
People said it'd be the best game in a long time, easily game of the year, possibly game of the generation. It was suppose to be unique, innovative, truly revolutionary. People said it was going to be a good game. It wasn't. It ended up being 5 mini games..

What made Halo CE better? Definitely wasn't the level design because it was extremely repetitive. It's a boring campaign to today's standards. I guess if living in the past is your thing (which it is for most people on here) than Halo CE is better, but in reality it's not.
Iwon't argue this any more though because all you "gamers" just think every old game is beyond perfection while every game released these days are over-rated generic garbage.
the silent cartographer stands as a testiment to how awesome halos level design was for the most part. a few repetitive enviroments can't define the entire game. the game is a masterpiece, plain and simple. and BTW, if your argument was in anyway true, i'd hate on anything released since the nes era. i would have never made it to halo...[QUOTE="FrozenLiquid"]
This was suppose to be the RPGs to end all RPGs with a great story, huge exploration, stragetic combat, and awesome freedom of choice. What did we get? A derived, unoriginal story, one big city and a whole lot of unimportant landscapes, combat that didn't know if it was RPG or shooter, and lame moral choices, with a dialog tree that was, at times, literally an illusion.

Cosign except that I did like the story a lot.
Agreed im really not a fan of Mass Effect, coming from a guy who plays NWN2, FF, BG, and variouse other high quality RPGS this game falls flat on its arse.[QUOTE="dthach614"][QUOTE="FrozenLiquid"]

NG2 > NG1 I seriously don't know what people wanted with it exactly, it's a more than fine sequel, I just think it's too hard for the majority. Please Log In to post.
