What will sell more GT5 or Reach?

Depends on how large PS3's install base will be once GT5 hits the shelves..

We all know Halo:Reach is gonna sell like crazy even if 360's install base remains the current one, though it will increase by the time the game's released..

Personally I think it will be a tough fight, surely they got a copy for each already sold,cannot afford to miss such great titles so am definately getting BOTH :P

Judging by your definition of "rehash", I don't think GT5 will be any different.

Could be tight. Several reasons. First, Halo sells regardless of generation. That's why Halo 2 sold well despite the original Halo already being out last gen. Now, Halo ODST's sales weren't blockbuster, but it also had low expectations. Reach is much more ambitious.

As for GT5, it now has serious competition. Forza is now an established name in the racing scene. Helping is the fact that not one but two Forzas have come out since GT4 (and it should be noted, GT3 was the best-selling GT to date--probably because it was bundled for a while--while GT4 took a major slide in sales). Now, if they bundle GT5 with slim PS3s, it'll probably be no contest. Otherwise...it could go either way, I think.

Halo 3 sold 10 million with 30 million sold

GT5P has sold what 4 million?

GT5 will sell 5-6 million best case scenario.

Though I wish Halo reach flop in sales cuz I hate FPS games but I dont see GT5 outselling Halo reach I guess GT5 life time sales will be around 6~8 mils and Halo reach will be around 8~10 mils and who knows I might be wrong.

That being said, GT5 will outsell Halo Reach by 2 million after 1 year.

Why not ask if GT5 will outsell Forza 3? This isn't a fair comparison. Anything Halo is going to sell milllions upon millions... because it's Halo.

GT5 is a racing game, and while it will sell a lot, it probably won't come close to Reach.

that's because it was bundled with the 360. had GT3 been bundled with the ps2, it'll be much more than what it sold.

are you people kidding? It's going to be Reach at this point. It's the main game for the Xbox 360 next to Halo 3 and MW2. It's a FPS. The Xbox 360 is up 6 million in WW sales...

Halo Reach by far... Do you know why? Because times have changed and although GT used to be a huge seller they had near 100 million units sold to work with and we all know that 90% of xbox owners will be lined up 4 hours in advanced waiting for Halo Reach to release.

Oh you have got to be kidding me. Halo actually adapted new features with each installment of its series (from dual weilding, to vehicle jacking, to new weapons, to special equipment items, to forge mode, to theatre mode, to community sharing, to new multiplayer game modes, and so on).

What new features did GT series evolve in its game from over 6 installments? And I mean besides graphical enhancements? It actually took 5 iterations before we even saw online play for Pong's sake.

I guess the 'kettle and pot' proverb doesn't ring any bells for you, huh? :roll:

Answer is pretty obvious: Reach. GT5 will sell big, but it doesn't get much bigger than Halo. Other than Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto and MarioI would say Halo is the biggest name in gaming

that's because it was bundled with the 360. had GT3 been bundled with the ps2, it'll be much more than what it sold.

GT3 was bundled with the PS2, and Halo 3 was only sold in limited quantities with the 360.

GT appeals to more and I bet Reach will be a flop. Same old same old attitude people will have towards it. GT will be the first and last of this gen on console. Tjeremiah1988
