[QUTheOTE="TreyoftheDead"]When it drops down to $299.
The 40g is already $399, and you get way more for the price then with the $350 Xbox 360, unless you get the $269 non-hard drive Xbox 360.
[QUOTE="t3hTwinky"]If the PS3 had full mouse and keyboard support, I'd have one already.vitz3
It does.

any bluetooth keyboard works.
controller.... Why so small? xsubtownerx
This has been bugging me, how fat are your hands that the ps3 controller won't fit?
I'm 6'4, and it fits my hands comfortably, seriously.
get some games that actualy interest me
do something about the DRE that we all know is going to surface with the PS3 (just as it did with the PSX and PS2) so I don't end up feeling like I got screwed over AGAIN by them.
offer an online gaming experience that's even a shred of XBL. I know it's free, but that doesn't mean it still has to be crap.
finally stick with a SKU instead of canceling them just a couple months later.
Bring back BC
stop using 3rd rate components in their system and get back to the quality Sony that once was back 15 years ago.

I don't think it's a matter of the controller fitting but more one of just how comfortable it is. The dual analogs are place in the WORST possible position (especially for FPS's) and my hands cramp up after 30-45 minutes. Can't say the same about the 360 controller because that is by far the most comfortable controller I've ever used period.

Ah, I don't like FPS, and the only TPS I play is Warhawk, so, I guess I can't exactly fire a snappy responce back.
I couldn't agree more, It's like you took the thoughts right of my head.get some games that actualy interest me

Probably a matter of opinion as well.
Having played COD4 on both systems, I find myself cramping up on the Xbox360 unit after just 30-45 minutes and never really seem to mind with the PS3 version.
Then again, I loved the old whopping Xbox controllers when everyone else in the world thought they were oversized paper weights.

No, normal hands. Not everyone has midget hands.
When it drops down to $299.TreyoftheDead
SO you bought a core 360 right?
Hmmm, Is that your Live GamerTag? Guess you bought a HDD for $99 and spent $50 on Live?
If my guesses are true then your kinda unreasonable

LMAO, Your a Halo fan so I assume you have a 360?
The Games issue is a matter of opinion, I'll give yuo that
DREs???? Your more likely to get that on your 360 first.
PSN is a great gaming experience, Sure the Ingame messaging etc that Live offers is all good, But telling me its not even a shred close to Live is pure Bias.
One Sku??? Just buy the one thats best for you and Play it, Why worry about the one you didn't buy.
3rd rate components? LOL sometimes I wonder if your talking about 360
To be honest, the price never really bothered me too much. I just don't see a NEED in getting it at the moment since I just got a PSP.
Actually well if they don't bring back Backwards-Compatibility then I think I might just skip this entire Gen all together. Plus my brother-in-law has a Wii so...
In the slightest chance that they bring back BC, I'll probably get a PS3 in about 2 years... and if Microsoft starts the Next Gen in about 2 years then I might skip this entire Gen.
:|
$400 and BC (software or otherwise)
honestly, all they'd have to do is enable the software emulation in the 40gb model and I'd be an owner

Lots of people hate keyboard and mouse.
I fail to see how hating controllers is fanboyism. :|
Sony's trying pretty damn hard... they've already dropped the price 200 bucks in one year...that's gottab be a new record.
Anyway it seems Sony is pretty desperate to get people interested,
what do they have to do to get you interested in buying a PS3?

299. DTS-MA.
May have to sacrifice the latter though.
1) Drop the price to $299. This machine simply is not worth it's price yet for what I'll be using it for. I know about the Blu-ray but since most movies are made with film insead of hi def video, I doubt I'll see much of a difference between it and my prog-scan DVD player. If my TV could handle 1080p I might care but since it can only handle 1080i, I don't.
2) Bring back BC. I buy a new system to replace the old, not to have them sit side by side. (I was wondering, remember when the GC came out and all the critics were complaining that it couldn't do BC because the N64 used cartridges? Where's their outrage over the PS3's BC issues?)
3) Bring back the rumble. Why do I have to play GOW2 on my PS2 just because the PS3 doesn't have what it takes to give me the same quality experience?
4) More games. If I have to wait to play MGS4, GT5, Final Fantasy and all the other games I've been hearing about for the past 2 years, then Sony can wait until they're released before I buy a PS3.

Even if im PS3 fan i dont have any console atm. Maybe because im happy enough with my PC.
Im not into Wii at all ,nor i was or im into 360.
But cant spend so much for the 40GB (european price) just for 3-4 games that in the end isnt what im looking for. Besides games like COD4 i can play em to my PC.
If price was 299$ or less i could afford to buy one and w8 for the games i love, otherwise i wont spend 400 +100 for extra controler +game = 500 just to w8 when games will come. Its the first generation, after many(since NES) that not even 1 console atm seems to appealing me to spend my money for. Thats why im waiting, and if PS3 wont be what i hope it will till 09 i wont buy console this generation. Please Log In to post.
