Ah, anyways, Microsoft's E3 conference this year was much like Nintendo's was LAST year: good for casuals, crap for gamers. Unlike you, I can admit when my fav company flops. Even with the announcement of FF13 to 360, what NEW "megaton" games were announced? And seriously, why is it that Lemmings are so hyped for FF13 all of a sudden? Those who think the announcement saved Microsoft's press conference are living a lie.

I agree the MS conference wasn't that great but big news is what counts, it's plasterd all over the net and no cares about the filler crap anyways. The big news and the way it was delivered did save the conference. If you think I'm living lie, well you're arrogant and wrong.

At the end of the day press conferences are NOT about entertaining the crowd...they are about announcements for the future. And MS did extremely well in that department. I think he must have only watched the Duffy and stupid movie demonstration.

Considering that Sony lost one of its biggest exclusives, and that almost everything planed is the same thing since 2005 I don't think so.

Halo remakes on Ps3, New halo game on ps3, new exclusive gtaIV downloadable content, Square comes out and says the whole microsoft and FFXIII thing was a joke, GeOW 2 on ps3, Killzone 2(In a new, awesome form), and Resistance 2(Also in a new, awesome form).

Any five of these could save them.

Nothing.

Nintendo - New Zelda that looks nextGen-ish? Kid Icarus looking good. New Metroid game? New Star Fox?

Sony - Nothing. They just need to do the best they can. Strong showings from GoW3, Tekken 6, Resistance 2, LBP, etc.

srsly i own an xbox 360 but i didnt anything promising other FF and gears. FF is great but we dont even know when it will release. the rest of the games were crap, caterring to ninty fan. i swear, if i didnt know the people were from MS, i could have sworn the show was from nintendo

why would nintendo attack bungie for something that rare did? if anything, they should attack joanna dark or banjo. tbh, none of this will happen.

Hurt microsoft? There is nothing they can really do.

To help themselves? Well, they either got to get a deal with Square to get an FFVII remake or KH3. The only thing sony themselves have the ability to do (from a 1st party perspective) is to get God of War III on the show. Gameplay, long trailer, ETC. They got to end the show with a god of war bang not a cheesy teaser trailer. I'm expecting another Uncharted or Jak and Daxter from Naughty. Sony needs to get something out there for this holiday. Resistance 2 is NOT enough.

It would hurt, all those people thinking about switching over to 360 because FF13 is now multiplatform would suddenly have to think twice. FF7 is arguably the most popular RPG of all time. Just look at how Crisis Core improved the PSP's sales. It would have a huge impact.

Anyway. I think it will be extreaml "hard" to recover from such a huge exclusive. Arguably even grander than MGS4. In fact, it was. Anyhow...A God Of War 3, Team Ico game, New Jack game, Tekken 6 and perhaps some other title, might remove some of the damage the FFXIII loss did to well everything Sony Playstation.

Epic fail. If a remake of FFVII was announced, the world would explode.

While not even close to as major as Final Fantasy XIII, I would like to see actual proof that the Mass Effect franchise will come out on PS3. That would leave, for now, Gears of War and Halo 3 as the only 'unreachable' AAA 360/PC games. As far as I could tell, there were really only two potential AAA exclusives today, Gears of War 2 and Fable 2 (which is being given the benefit of the doubt... 85.1% for the original on gamerankings). Maybe Banjo. There's nothing Sony can do about these, so aside from Mass Effect, the best thing they could just do is show off what their first-party and second-party software can do. God of War 3, Uncharted 2 and a new Team Ico game is a must. Give those reasonable release dates and get Home off the ground ASAP.

I wouldn't half mind it if the rumor of a new 40 gb PS3 model in August happened to be a backwards compatible, Dual Shock 3 PS3 either. No price cut necessary.
