Well I don't own the PS4. What it is going to take is me finishing off a huge chunk of my 80+ game backlog on my PC. I see no reason to buy any other system until I work my way through all these games.

Oh I see, you were asking about all the systems I don't own.
Nothing will get me to buy a Microsoft console outside of the brand being sold to another company.
Wii U - Drop the tablet controller and slap in the gamecube controller. It isn't that I hate the tablet controller so much as it is it would be expensive to replace one if it were to break.
Vita - More games that interest me as well as dropping the price of the memory cards to the price of a normal price like an SD card or MicroSD.
I own Mobile, 3DS, PS3, and PC (my main system of choice by miles and miles).
PS4: some games
Xbox One: some games
That is all really. Both are practically dead to me until some time in 2015 when Batman Arkham Knight and No Man's Sky come out. Even then the libraries seem very limited.
I'm pretty ticked about having to pay for my internet service twice for both of those consoles if I want to play online and that neither are backwards compatible. I used to think Sony was pretty cool in comparison to Microsoft in the console market, but now with paid online and this scammy looking Playstation Now? Not so much.
It looks like Wii U+PC is the clear best choice really.
The good news is that both Batman Arkham Knight and No Man's Sky will be better on PC. It's amazing just how much better the Batman games play with keyboard and mouse.
Wii U/PC is definitely going to be the best combo if you want the most games, and the best value.

I prefer my 360 controller for Batman over keyboard and mouse.
Games, and in the case of the Wii U: games and a massive price drop. Right now, I'm fine playing on my PC and my older systems.

It's like preferring a controller for FPS games.
Sure, there are people who do, but if you're more-accustomed to keyboard and mouse it beats out the clunkiness of controller for Batman.
I squirm at the thought of hitting the right trigger to "quick-turn" or the terrible baterang controls, or not being able to quickly select my items. The controls for Batman himself may as well be the same as a third or first person shooter anyways which is where mouse/keyboard reigns supreme. Rocksteady truly put in some TLC for the PC ports of those games.
Sadly this does not hold true for all 3rd person action games on PC, but in Batman's case, oh man. It's like the greatest gaming experience ever. Totally worth trying again with keyboard/mouse.
Xbox One: I need to see MS keep on investing in quality new IP like QB or Sunset Overdrive. And not like with 360 switch back to nothing but Forza/Halo/gears after a few years.
PS4: I will be getting one. Just the amount of exclusives right now is pathetic. People are even going bonkers about a PS3 game... that says enough.
Mobile gaming: not be mobile gaming I guess. Unless mobile gaming grows a d-pad, face buttons, an analog stick or two and shoulder buttons I have zero interest.
Games, games and more games. Xbox One however is an odd playa for me because half of their exclusives will be on PC. We are starting to see that DR3 and Quantum Break is also a sure bet. Maybe if the console was $150 because it doesn't really offer much exclusive titles I won't be get anywhere else. The only platform I will get based on price is Xbox One.
Xbox 360 - First last gen console. It had the games early on with Mass Effect, Bioshock, Oblivion, Gears and Halo.
PS3 - Bought recently because of FFXHD, Persona 5, MGS4, Tales, Uncharted and God of War.
PS4 - Got it really because of the hype but I know it'll get the traditional AAA Sony exclusives. Having the best hardware on consoles is a huge bonus too.
Wii U - Bought it also recently after seeing Smash. The biggest reason though is because it's Nintendo. We know it'll get some of the best games of this gen and those won't be available anywhere else.
3DS XL - Pretty much the same reason as Wii U. Vita had so much ports and indies that it made my decision fairly easy. It was either 3DS or Vita and 3DS win because of exclusive games.

Only the thing is, I am more accustomed to the keyboard and mouse. So much for your theory. It just got tossed right out the window. I didn't even bother reading past what I quoted.
the xbox one and Ps4 will need good single player exclusive games for me to take the plunge.
android: an actual gaming device (the shield is promising) and some good exclusive games (i wouldnt actually pay for anything on the play store currently...there is nothing there worth paying actual money for. )
IOS: never going to happen. I would rather contract rabies than buy or use an apple device of any sort.
i have everything else (and an insane backlog :S)
Games that interest me.
Wii U and PC have all the games that interest me right now.
PS4 and the Bone have poop.
There is no reason for me to purchase a console except for fighting games. SFIV on PC is good, but other fg communities aren't too large on PC. I will have to choose between a PS4 and Xbone when MKX is out.
I'll get a Wiiu when the price is cut.
