What Would It Take To Make A Game That Everyone Likes?

Simple. You never make it, while releasing info about it all the time, letting the people following it hype it up. Eventually, cut the info stream, and let the fans realize it was just a hoax.

Oh wait, that already happened, it's called DNF.

(Yes, I know the game is actually real with recent footage and what not, but this is more of an entertainment value post than factual :) )

Remake Final Fantasy VIII with Final Fantasy XIII graphics, and keep all the original gameplay.

I'd like to say something that tricks your mind into a euphoria, but you'll always have those pessimistic people, the rebels, and even those that are immune to the feeling that would ultimately break the goal. So nope... that's like asking for a world with no conflict, people are always going to have a different perspective, yknow?
