Okay, so the Xbox One has been revealed. It exists. It is what it is, that's not changing.

So, given the system as it is right now: no BC, no used games without a fee, required online connectivity once every 24 hours, built in Kinect, pay to play Xbox Live- given all of this, just what would Microsoft have to do to get you to buy an Xbox One? Specifically, what games would they need?

Personally, if I could get a Halo 2 Anniversary, a new Fable like Fable 1 or 2, Forza 5, a new Banjo, some new Microsoft IPs, and maybe some exclusive third party games, like I don't know, if Microsoft could get the next Saint's Row or whatever to be exclusive to the Xbox One- if enough good games I want were X1 exclusive, I'd buy it.

What would they have to do to sway you?

Say that most of those rumors and whatever leaked after the reveal conference doesn't exist on the xbox one(At least clear up the confusion surronding some of the things like used games, required internet connection and etc). Provide games I would buy on the console.Sony has to provide games I would buy and reveal the rest of whatever they have for the PS4.

What got me to buy an Xbox 360 last gen was Mass Effect and how advanced Xbox Live was over PSN at the time. This next-gen is completely different from last years, but I'm gonna buy an Xbox One regardless (its just a matter of when). For it to be a day one purchase for me, I would need to see more exclusive games. Halo and Gears just doesn't do it for me anymore

Used game ban/fee must die, period, no excuses.

Fully explain the one a day internet connection thing.

At least 3 new IP's that interest me.

TV, motion, and voice features work pretty close to what we saw at the conference as I thoiught they were cool

Price 400 or less.

All in all I know I'm buying one, but those things matter to me a great deal.

as it is now, there is nothing they could do to get me to "buy" one.  WTF that would mean I am  telling MS what they are doing is ok like all the idiots who supported paying to pay online...which is the reason why the x1 is as much as a consumer rip-off POS as it is now.

Price.  Most I would pay is $300.  I'll probably have to wait till a price drop but I don't care. Unless of course it has some very good games.

Don't do anything to hinder access to games (used games fee, drm, or whatevz)

Beyond that point, as with any system, I just need a list of games I find to be valuable enough to me to justify the price. It doesn't matter if they're new IPs or not, and it also doesn't matter if they're downloadable-only or Kinect-only.

But I'm a few light years away from wanting to buy any console because my PC is so glorious, so I may never get one regardless

Drop any sort of online requirement, used games fully supported, as in nothing between me inserting any old disk and having it work, basic online free or more of a reason to subscribe to gold, Give us Rare back and let them make Banjo Threeie, Battletoads one, Perfect Dark one, and a new IP. Exclusives would include Halo, Gears, and i would lose my shit if they had a new Megaman. Of course, none of that matters unless they dropped the online requirement and used games bit, it is very much a dealbreaker to me, regardless of how many life-changing exclusives they ever get.

I honestly feel that RROD was a rush-to-market known design flaw... I think they lost more then they admitted, passing it off as one quarters loss. I don't think they will be making that mistake again just so they can bloat user install numbers. What I'm expect is MS to try to sign contracts with cable providers to do that for them.

What actually upsets me more is that the controller STILL doesn't have built in rechargeable batteries. The 360 controller has been a non-stop battle from the beginning of the gen.... I finally had to settle for a corded controller.... yup... 2013 and still using corded controllers... thank you MS.

Get rid of all of that; Build a time machine and bring all the people that were at Rare in the 90s bring them to the present as Rare employees and then get them to make all of their great games for the Xbox One.

I would purchase an XBOne just to play those games again with the people that made them.

Of course then it would create some paradoxes and maybe an alternate timeline but that is what it would take for me to purchase an XBOne.

New Banjo, not the crappy Nuts and Bolts, but a good mainline Banjo 3, and I would have to get one eventually, other than that I don't think anything can get me to buy one, their games just don't interest me for the most part. I can get my racing fix with Mario Kart or GT6, or even Drive Club.

for me personally, theres nothing they can do to get me to invest in another microsoft console ever again.

pay to play online, lack of games, fees to play used game or a game from a friend, always online check every 24 hours, heavy kinect focus, no backwards compatibility, and microsoft reputation to abandon core to chase the casual crowd.  I doubt microsoft would fix all those, especially the xbl fee, which is my biggest gripe.  Go free online, or I won't even bother even if all those other things get fixed.

i'm all pc and at the moment don't plan to buy any next gen consoles, but I'm 100% sure not dealing with a microsoft console while im still not counting out the ps4 and wiiu completely.

This is a good point too. I already game on PC primarily then Wii, 360, and Android. I want to get a WiiU and OUYA. That doesn't leave much room and if Sony has free online, used games, and supports =indie dev while MS charges for Live, used/borrowed games, and canned XNA/XBLIG...the choice for another console would be obvious.

Do a 180 and have upwards of 65% core games and only 35% Kinevt(lol), also clear up the used game policy. I want to lend my friends games and not have to have them sign in under my profile to play them OR pay any fee. I have a PC/WiiU, 3DS and soon to be PS4 not to mention a PS3/360. I'll have plenty to play even if I dont buy the X1. I'm giving MS a chance otherwise it will be easy to live without it.

I don't know if games alone would ever be enough for me with some of the stuff, i guess it partly depends on what Sony does (e.g. if they charge to play online/charge for used games/online requirement etc). I would need Banjo Kazooie 3 to get me interested for a start, as well as some interesting new exclusive IP's and they would have to be pretty amazing. If Sony does charge to play online then i'll probably just stick with PC for the most part and only use a PS4 for single player exclusives.
