They're doing plenty of good- they're getting games on the platform, they're advertising, they're keeping the price competitive, they're releasing lots of new bundles, and they're adding new features.

I'm not sure if they will ever catch up though, PS4 is on a roll so far this gen.

The Xbone brand is tainted bro. The only way to fix that shit I think is by pulling a Sony, that even when they were behind with the PS3 they kept releasing exclusive after exclusive. Some of them flopped some of them succeeded but it was relentless.

Maybe release a Slim and try to re-brand it like Sony did too. And try to market the Xbox not as a powerhouse or a media center nor something that gamers need but as something that they would want and to do that they should start by stop relaying on Halo and Forza and the same old franchises ala Nintendo. They need to get more diverse so they can attract more people other than the dudebros. I mean, when was the last time MS invested on something like Journey or Shadow of the Colossus or Sony's Siren?

Phil Spencer is good, at least much better than the suit with no charisma that Sony chose for Playstation to replace the always godlike Jack Tretton, but being humble is not enough. They need to listen and deliver. It's true they dropped the original model they were gonna follow but it was after an absolute massive backslash and it shouldn't be like that. That doesn't inspire much confidence you know.

Meh, I honestly don't care if Xbox One is number one or not, gamers will buy whatever they see what's coming from both PS4/Xbox One but at the end of the day, gamers are winners, not the consoles themselves. Granted, I enjoy the big 3 consoles so far and really don't have a beef one another.

The one thing that always works in the US at least is price, if it was half the price of the Ps4 it might stand a chance.

Bring back PGR Racing as Forza Gotham Racing

Also a couple of OG Xbox remasters could help

M$ should literally bundle in Doritos and MntDew in their Halo Bundle.

And put free coupons for Doritos and MntDew inside Halo disc cases.

The general consensus in the US will always be the PS4 first, and Xbox One second. MS will provide some tempting price tags from time to time but I doubt they will gain a stronghold in the US for good. Even if they drop the price again, nothing is stopping the PS4 doing the same if they are loosing too much marketshare for their liking. At the same price, the PS4 is seen as the better product.

If Halo 5, Forza 6, Gears, Rise of the Tombraider can't beat Disgaea 5, Dragon Quest Warriors and help X1 catch up with PS4 this Holiday, MS should buy SE and Atlus

They just had a novel size update that didn't really do a lot, don't blow things out of proportion. Also no one is debating which one is more powerful, it seems like you people always fall back on that bullshit when you can't understand something... At this point the Xbox One is a more developed console and Microsoft is walking away from Sony in terms of platform development, it's happening, it's been happening for a long time now....

Hhhmm.. they will reclaim the U.S. The PS4 isn't that far ahead in the U.S. The generation isn't over yet. Will see where the PS4 is in the US at the end of the generation.

Well they just need to make games that appeal to the american audience more and pray that they are successful. They need to take more risks on first party development and find this generations "Halo." Also they have the minecraft devs which I'm sure MS has them making some exclusive game for the Xbox one as we speak. With "From the makers of Minecraft" on the box they are sure to sell a couple million boxes based off that lol.
