I recently founds those two blogs, showning some amazing art for Fable 2 game on 360, it is really amazing, so what would you rate it so far ?

The game is far from release too, but i would like an opinion on the overall art, even counting in the arkworks

Here are the links with the pics and artworks

I loved the first Fable even if the Creator or whatever said it was going to be way more than it was. I'm hoping the second will be better, and if it is, it will be amazing.

The graphics don't look all too snazzy so far... but we'll have to see. Although it is the 360.. I'm used to PC so much. lol

Don't you find your options for the poll a little extreme? The "best" or "worst"?Couldn't you have just gone with bad, okay, good, great?

I really couldn't care less about the art as long as they get the gameplay right which was sorely lacking in the first game.

Art design looks great...

However the fact that they moved it from "Medieval" to "Colonial" times...has me worried :(

I'm sorry but Swords & Armor >>>> Muskets and Feathered Hats

The gameplay of Fable was actually one of it's stronger point. What really killed the game was the boring, repetitive quests, lack of depth in the cities, stupid and annoying NPCs, and the lack of unique gear.

The solids of the game were all there though, which is why the game got a very solid score. The combat is probably the best I've played in any RPG to date. The graphics and art were very good for their time, too. So all in all the gameplay was quite solid.

I really hope Lionshead can get their act together on Fable 2. The quests were terrible in the first one. Every quest basically involves mowing down dozens of nearly identical mobs to either get to a) someone you have to rescue or talk to or b) boss fight. The worse thing was that no matter what boring, tedious quest you did you were rewarded with XP and gold but never any unique items. You spent XP on magic upgrades so it kept it kind of interesting, but really with RPGs the way they are today Lionshead needs to offer something a lot better than the first try.

Lets just hope the game looks at least that good by the time it hits the shelves. No need to hype it, we saw what happened to the first Fable, although I thoroughly enjoyed it.

If ever a dev transported the storybook atmosphere into a videogame, Fable had that down pat (obviously excluding the more mature thermes, although some had a storybook touch to them). The towns, the NPCs, the enemies, the sounds, it all felt ripped right out of a mixture childhood stories. I think thats the main success for the original Fable & I hope part 2 emulates that atmosphere as well.

Well for a start gameplay includes things like repetitive quests, annoying NPC's etc but I also found the combat VERY repetitive.

That is excatly what i loved seeing those blogs, it is like a fairy tale come to life, and is not all cheerfull either, it is like \a mixture of Shrek and Grimm tales, just the very best i have seen materialising in a game to date

I found it repetitive as well. But that was easily remedied by mixing up swordplay with different magics & ranged attacks. I felt it kept the gameplay from getting stale til the end of the story.

The combat was the best part for me in Fable, was so addictive that i play the game multiple times, and never got boring one minute, the fluidity of casting spells and sword fighting was the very best in any RPG to date IMO, and the real time powered spells just brilliant, the enemies varied and VERY fun to waste, plus all had different needs in strategy to finish

That was the most brillianthing in Fable 1 IMO, and the art, also the quests were some of the best in any game to date for me, they were connected to the lore of the land (hunt balverines, etc) and were different and innovatibe as in no game before, everything else ues the same fetch/kill quests, that you forget seconds after you get the so wanted experience or items

Not to mention that this is an RPG... Fable's real time combat was easily one of the best in any RPG I played last gen.

Yeah, the main story line had some pretty memorable quests. The side quests were usually really lame though.

Really they just need to work on keeping all the quests better and making more unique items. Also maybe better enchantment system for weapon and also extend it to armor.

What they need IMO is connect most quests under a beliavable umbrella and the main quest, and have more lore quests, with better riddles and exploration, i liked many Fable 1 quests though, more than in most games i have played, so i am not so much worried about that, as i am for the fact that they need a really deep and involving story this time, with better impact and presentation

I really like this one: http://image.gamespotcdn.com/gamespot/images/2007/191/927246_20070711_screen005.jpg

It kind of reminds me of Corpse Bride and Nightmare Before Christmas, and that's a good thing.

Why is that? Swords and armour is the most cliched thing in the fantasy world. It's good that Lionshead is moving from that overdone concept.

I really liked Fable's artstyle(and the whole game as well), but somehow the sequel doesn't seem as impressive, well what sequel ever did... But maybe it's just the bad pics.

Graphics wise? Because everything gameplay wise sounds like a lot more than a sequel should be. I really hope the combat gets pulled through to the final release.

The graphics look some of the best i have seen in a game to date TBH, and the gameplay will definatly be great, sicne Fable 1 has such a fun system

Here, i found one more link, with the lore of Albion, it is just grand
