What Youtube personality do you follow for your game reviews?

i like the reviews by gameranx. they just give a quick run through of the game without some meaningless fan reassurance score like ign or gamespot. just positives and negatives of the game.

ACG does a similar thing and gives a good run down of the game without some fanboy score at the end.

I don't watch anyone for legit review material, only fun times. Angry Joe is about as close as I've come to true "critique", and I don't watch him for that aspect, just to hear what he has to say about certain games.

I like Arlo (someone mentioned him), he a real fun muppet fellow who adores Nintendo stuff. AVGN has some good stuff, but I like his material where he isn't in character more. ProJared is one of my favorites, but he rarely does actual reviews of new games.

Off Youtube I love Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw. I watch his show every Wednesday since I like his humor.

And if I really want true reviews to influence my buying, I look no further than Jeremy Parish. I don't always agree with his reviews, but if I'm on the fence he's the only reviewer I allow to sway me. (He doesn't do video reviews for new material, only his ongoing chronicle of Game Boy releases.)

I personally can't stand YouTube game reviewers.

Youtubers are nowhere near as reliable and independent as you think. Do you really believe for a second that the multi-national corporations haven't got their fingers in that pie?

I discovered him through his Metal Mythos series episode on Gorgoroth. Then I realized he did a whole bunch of gaming stuff too and was hooked.

I just watch Twitch stream of the games I want to purchase. If the game looks like something I want to purchase I buy it. Who gives a **** what someones opinion is on the game. I have enjoyed games that got 5s and reviews are so out of date now.
