Xbox Owners like Online,Alan wake has no online RDR came out... it was pretty damaged badly ..Ratchet_Fan8
doesn't stop many Xbox 360 owners from buying Mass Effect/2.
Fable sold great, and that's not a shooter(before anyone says it)
so it's obviously advertising and RDR.

Why is there a lack of advertisement ?

lack of TV advertising.
what I meant.
I'd say it's a mix between RDR being so good and a very long game with great replayability, and AW being a game that fell under expectations and isn't gonna get u nearly as much value for your money. Tho i still think AW will pull some decent numbers.
Red Dead Redemption may be one reason. Another could be lack of interest. I have been avoiding it because i am not sure i will like it. I bought Heavy Rain because of the reviews and hype, and i have not played very much of it because it bores me. I dont want to make the same mistake with Alan Wake.
[QUOTE="Zensword"]thisOne reason: Red Dead Redemption.
Diviniuz
yep maybehaevy rain didnt have much competition
cuz alan wake is definitely the better game
No I haven't seen any at all either. I said this earlier when the game first came out, that MS did no marketing at all for this game which could hurt it tremendously down the road. I only saw advertisements for it on the xbox website and thats it.could be advertisement... i havent seen any commercials for it, but that could just be a regional issue

AW is nohwere near as boring and slow paced as HR
RDR and SMG happened, I cannot fathom why Remedy would release it on the very same day as a freaking Rockstar game, and a week before a freaking Mario game, terrible, terrible time to release it.Im_singleWell originally Alan Wake was the only set title to be released on the 18th. RDR was supposed to come out in April then it got pushed back. I don't think MS wanted to push back Alan Wake (stupid move IMO). June would of been a great monthfor AW to come out (it would had little contest)
Red Dead Redemption and sudden decline in Xbox interest.Kokuro_KunLol. This guy thinks SW reflects the real world.
Xbox is still going strong, despite what a bunch of PS3 fanboys on an online forum might want to think.
Dude you should have played the demo first that game is terribleRed Dead Redemption may be one reason. Another could be lack of interest. I have been avoiding it because i am not sure i will like it. I don't think it was advertised very well. The only ads I really saw for it were those Bright Falls trailers that would start off a lot of YouTube videos. Those annoy the **** out of me so I never buy anything that I see in those.
I also think Red Dead Redemption stole a lot of its sales. I don't think too many people would buy 2 games on the same day

Just because you didn't like Heavy Rain does not mean it is a terrible game
Can you provide evidence?FunconsoleThats what I was thinking. I didn't know Mays NPD had been released yet.

Because Microsoft likes to destroy PC developers; they convinced Remedy to cancel the PC version and well... was a trap :p
Dunno what you guys have been watching, but I saw plenty of tv ads for Alan Wake, more than a lot of other games get.

It would be released next Thursday. Also, can we consider only worldwide sales of Alan Wake instead of one country like the NPD report? Just because a game sales well in the United States does not mean it is the same in other regions. Just look at the sales of Dragon Quest games in Japan and compare them with overseas sales.
