Why would you release a game you have been working on for 5 years on the very same day as a promising game from a company that always makes quality, critically acclaimed titles? Why not release it in July/August when there never seem to be many games coming out? Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if it got better reviews if it was released later, all the reviewers were probably annoyed they had to review another game before playing RDR & flew through it. Of course that's probably not the case, but I still don't understand why they chose that release date. I would have bought it if I had the money after RDR.

This is what happens when you hype a game as a potential graphics king and don't deliver the graphics. If it was going to be some epic storytelling adventure then that's what it should have been hyped as from the get-go.

Instead, you were showna game running on a super high end PC back in 2005 and then it's been crickets and smoke ever since. That's what happened to Alan Wake. A bunch of bold posturing from MS is what did the sales in.

lest ye forget.

because the casual players and any one outside system wars actually heard graphics king claims? please as well future 360 exclusives will surpass killzone 2 in graphics...yeah lets just apply that to a game released how long? a month? 3 months after that statement? please.

No proof of that yet. :(

[QUOTE="Ratchet_Fan8"]Xbox Owners like Online,Alan wake has no online RDR came out... it was pretty damaged badly ..HavocV3

doesn't stop many Xbox 360 owners from buying Mass Effect/2.

Fable sold great, and that's not a shooter(before anyone says it)

so it's obviously advertising and RDR.

i would agree with that. i also think that the gameplay and story aren't as accessible as a lot of titles.

People just realized that it was an average and instantly forgettable game :)

Thats what happened.

This is how you make fail statements :). On topic, I'd say lack of advertising. This is a new IP and it didn't give much notice to the public without any commercials, just a bunch of internet slides saying "shine light on the dark" or whatnot. RDR's advertising and being the equilvalent of GTA-western had enough of a following (just look at GTA series now).

What? AW was awesome.

Plenty of good games don't sell incredibly well, it's nothing new.

Where did you see that AWs sales are dropping off? Please don't say you went by VGChartz.

As I've said before MGS should be kicked in the rear for not supporting this game. It really was a lot of fun. There was virtually no promotion on this game. Stupid...very stupid.
