Some aliens who want to invade Earth so they can play the Wii, so Bill Gates puts on a helmet and tries to stop them with his ray gun.

i understand that reach was created to be a training ground for newly created spartins..just how can a forerunner relic end up being there if the foreruners were long gone before any of this?

How is there a massive Forerunner construction in the middle of the Sahara desert? More Fall of Reach stuff -->
On Sigma Octanus IV, the Covenant attacked a city to get a forerunner relic that was in a human museum.
One never knows, Bungie never lets all the cats out the bag.

oh man...now i just got more hyped about halo3 by just reading your post

Bullshat. Aliens had Wii's atleast 100 years before humanity but it wouldn't suprise me that Bill Gates decided to destroy aliens(with his ray gun) because they stoped their Xbox Live subscription.

No way. Aliens TRIED to develop the Wii 100 years ago, but Shiggy travelled back in time and destroyed their laboratories by eating a plant and spitting fire at them.

They tried to develop PS3(not Wii)but Krazy Ken and Power Rangers destroyed 50% of their population so in ph34r of them they've decided to develop Windows Vista. In the meanwhile,Shiggy was smoking some wiid and having wild butts3x with Reggie. After that he decided that a good name for his new console would be Wii.

As Humanity expanded and colonized in other planets, eventually they came across an alien race known as the Covenant. This race, being religious zealots, desire the destruction of mankind, and so comes the struggle for humanity's survival.

lawlessx

This is the only quirk in your explanation. They desire only to start the Great Journey, which of course means the activate the Halos so that their "divine wind may rush through the stars, propelling all along the path to salvation." The only reason they even bother with the humans is because the humans keep getting in the way and many of the forerunners relics are in human controlled space and human controlled worlds. Don't mind me, your post was the best yet.:P

so wait...does that mean forerunner relics were on reach? i never had the chance to sit down and read the fall of reach yet

Yes. Have you read First Strike? The Spartans together with Doctor Halsey find some kind of stone (the relic) in a tunnel beneath the mountain that the ONI base on reach is in. Deiuos you wouldn't happen to be one of the guys from Eagle 117's theorist group on bungie.net? There's not many persons with that kind of knowledge on various halo plot teories.

The base is known as CASTLE and codenamed "King under the Mountain" Also those aren't theories, they are simple references from the books and known Halo lore.

FoamingPanda

I was talking about the "Johnson is a Spartan 1" statement, which pretty much is what we at bungie.net call a theory. This particular theory is based upon some of the encrypted messages we can find in the halo universe (and some facts about the Orion project from the books) which clearly indicate Johnson was at least involved in the Orion project. It's not something that's clearly stated anywhere and it's not provable yet so it is in many ways a theory. But the part about castle is fact, you're right about that :P.

Oh, I forgot about the A.J.J being a Spartan comment, 117 even mentions in First Strike that he thought Avery would make a decent Spartan. I guess that is up to speculation.

Yep, but at least if judging by the evidence speaking for it it's very probable. Just in case you want to read more theories this is probably one of the best recent ones right here.

it's wried how come the aliens can speak English? Spartan070

It's actually translators in the helmets that change it to english. I think I heard that somewhere, though I can be wrong.
it's wried how come the aliens can speak English? Spartan070
The Covenant is vastly more intelligent than humans, plus while they lack innovation, they are extremely adept at immitation, of language, technology, anything.

Already answered.

It was answered wrong. The covenent learned how to translate English into their languages (Each race has its own language (Grunts, brutes, jackals, elites, hunters, and prophets, as well as a few races mentioned in the books but not the games, and hunters don't really talk all that much, plus each also knows the language of the prophets). Cortana, when aboard a covenent ship, found the translations, reversed them (A rosetta stone, as it were), and does what she can to make it understandable. And yes, the covenent has immitated (poorly) all of their technology by trying to copy the forerunners.

:|How, exactly, did I answer it wrongly?:? If anything, I was simply being vague.....
