well we wouldn't see a direct sequel to kotor 2. Because bioware has said they are going to finish both kotor 1 and 2's story in TOR.KOTOR 3?
I don't know wheather I want it or not.
I want a sequel to KOTOR 2, but I don't want Dragon Age to Dragon Age 2 :X

Maybe they'll go back to developing RPGs :P. Stupid jokes aside there will be the Old Republic to keep busy, a new IP and maybe a sequel to Jade Empire.
There is plenty of hype for it because it's Star Wars and Bioware. The problem is Bioware took the WoW model and applied it to TOR. And the space combat is horrendous. Like playing a Nintendo 64 game.Wait, are you saying the space combat is like Star Fox 64? That sounds great if that's the case.KC_Hokie
You too can apply stat points to increase your characters abilities! Feel the power of the mighty Strength stat! Get extra criticals with the Dexterity stat! New Stat's DLC. Only $5! (all stats sold separate).Seeing if they can cut away the RPG elements of DA3 and get away with selling it as DLC.

Bioware's focus on TOR is already hurting them. In hindsight TOR probably wasn't the best idea for Bioware.KC_HokieI'm not so sure I agree. I think ToR will be an amazing creation. It's still a shame though that their other content is being hurt by it. I know there are a lot of fans looking to play this. I'm pretty excited for it myself.
I'm going to come out and say it, they need to make a KOTOR game that does not follow the words MMORPG
I want Bioware to take a break from all these RPG games and just make a MDK game. I loved MDK II on the Dreamcast, and I was hoping Bioware would release it on the Xbox Live marketplace and then released a sequel just after. That would be awesome.
I hope they make a Dragon Age similar to Origins, but fix the flaws. However, the following are more likely: New IP, Another Game in the Mass Effect Universe not a part of the trilogy, the universe is expansive and therefore is a lot of room to make games.

But I thought it "looks awesome, plays awesome". This guy told me.
Nah, you are right, they are hyping the space combat just a little bit too much. I see this only harming the game more than it helps it at this point.
Mass Effect 3: DLC inundation
Mass Effect: "FPS Spinoff"
Mass Effect: "RTS Spinoff"
Dragon Age III: "Even More Linear Edition"
Star Wars: The Old Republic DLC
Since bioware is in the action mood now, jade empire 2 maybe?therancorsMy thoughts exactly, don't understand why they continue to ignore this franchise :(
Probably another game set in the Mass Effect universe that doesn't deal with reapers or Shepard. Dragon Age 3 is all but certain, hopefully they take the complaints about the second one to heart and actually improve on it rather than leaving it as the mess it is. Thedas is actually reasonably well thought out so it would be a shame if the gameplay stayed the same mess it is right now, hopefully they can get the writer from the first game or Mass Effect back too.Ace6301Pretty sure David Gaider was the lead writer for both DA:O and DA 2.
Dragon Age III: "Even More Linear Edition"foxhound_foxInstead of more linear, they can just give you even less variety in areas, "Now just caves Edition". I mean even just caves, would only be 2 less areas than DA2.
Cute. Bioware's DLC is actually decent. Didn't know we had that many 'DLC of the year' contenders though.Mass Effect 3: DLC inundation

And considering that Bioware hasn't actually... really... ever... made a spin-off; ah well, why pass up an opportunity to sound ignorant!
Dragon Age 3,TOR expansions packs/updates and probably a new game in the Mass Effect world. I don't see them abandoning the mass effect world just yet. There is just too much potential outside of the Shepherd trilogy.
It was a good game. I thought it had great graphics at that time... weird game though.I want Bioware to take a break from all these RPG games and just make a MDK game. DLC should be done away with. Especially BioWare DLC, since if you don't buy it, you miss out on a substantial amount of story and characters. And you know they can't integrate any choices from the DLC into the next game, because not everyone will have bought it. But then again, this is BioWare we are talking about, they designed a character in DAO to say "if you want this quest, buy the DLC."
Expansion packs are fine... but copious amounts of content cut from the final version to be sold at a premium after launch? Not cool.foxhound_fox
I've always thought if devs want to do quick stories like DLCs, they should work on lets say 5 or 6, and just put them all in an expansion or something. Charge like $20 or $30 and give like 8-12 hours. Don't charge $7 for an hour per DLC..

DLC is an option to give us extra content still. It's not a trend Bioware has set.

Is it Bioware hyping it, or the fans who've done so and get disappointed when they see new in-game footage? Either way, I'll be happy if it doesn't detract too much from the game. Might be neat for some sidequests, even so.I hope that the next game from bioware is a game with hugely branching storylines. I think it would be great if we could get that in ME 3 even.dkdk999
I think that could be a good possibilityforMass Effect 3because it isthe last sequel to the trilogy. Ibelieve Biowareshould take a lot risks withMass Effect 3 because everyonewho played the first twohadtold theirown stories in the Mass Effect Universe. In the installment, there should be ten different endingsbecause thereis no worry to linked the last gameto the next game because it is the last game.
Skyward. The space combat will be completely skippable except for maybe some quest chains. It is just there as a minigame. Oh and to answer your question, both Bioware and their fans are equally guilty of hyping it. That "looks awesome and plays awesome" was a quote from Bioware in the link I gave.

Those and how about
Mass Effect: "Dating Sim Spinoff"
Dragon Age: "Dating Sim Spinoff"
Dragon Age: The After Years
Star Wars: The Old Republic Expansion packs that make the gameplay even more mundane than it looks
Sonic Chronicles 2: And you thought hte first was bad?
Oh yeah and this
Planescape 2: Over 9000% more romance, Whenever you press a button and The Nameless one does something awesome, Hand holding to the extreme and ended up somehow being more linear than Call of Duty. Not to mention half of your party (who will all be romancable and important to the plot) will be day 1 DLC. For this game Bioware will have hired plenty of new talent including Stephenie Meyer.

Well in that case, I'd be happy with a remake. As long as the remake is only remade without adding/taking away any features whatsoever.
There'll be more Mass Effect (considering the franchise won't end after the trilogy), maybe a Jade Empire 2? Maybe even KOTOR 3 (a guy can dream).

They could always just make a prequel and not have to worry about choices you have made in the previous titles.

Dating Sim Spinoff. rofl. yes, people take that **** way too far, anyone who doesn't believe go check out the official forums. any one of them.------------
I really should pick up Jade Empire....
a lot of guys here are raving about it, and i've always intended to try it out. gonna wait for a Steam sale to come along and snatch it.

ya lets cross our fingers man. I hope you can choose things like wheither to be with cerberus, the alliance, or with someone else. ya that seems like the only thing they could really do. TOR kind of dissapoints me. I mean I'm definatly looking forward to it. But now it's highly unlikely we'll ever see another traditional kotor game. It's good to innovate though I suppose. Please Log In to post.
