I haven't been excited for a handheld since the GBA was anounced. I didn't expect the DS to be as big as its become and the PSP is doing better than anything thats gone up against Nintendo handheld powerhouse.

So what does the future hold? Will MS throw themselves into the handheld market, will sony release an updated PSP (psp 2?) and how will nintendo out do themselves next time? more innovation or will it be like GBC to GBA type thing?

what if MS offers a handheld that offers portable Halo, that alone would sell a few million.

If anything could have beaten Nintendos handheld reign it could have been PSP, which it didn't. MS could come in, but would probably focus on the hardcore power crowd.

I'm thinking touch sensitivity for both screens on the DS2. That would open up a lot of new possibilities for developers. I can't see how motion sensing could make handholds better except for gimmicky tilting like in wario ware twisted (much as I love that game). Oh, you mean what console will do best? DS and DS2 of course.

I don't see MS selling many handhelds in Japan which in the end will mean the other two will destroy the MS portable in sales.

The DS was doing great with a huge lead, but slowly I think developers and gamers alike will realize the potential of the PSP platform. Some games will just not be possible on the DS. With memory limiations, vast differences in processing power.
