In the case of Halo 3 the multiplayer. very accessable, but theirs enough elements of the game that you do actually have to learn to master. The actual shooting is something you can take advantage of though(because of aim assist) Overall the entire MP is really balanced and well done. Equipment can be incosistent but it's solid. Maps are also inconsistent. Some are genious, others are just mistakes. Single player is more solid that good. It's got it's issues. But it's a fun game overall. The core gameplay is still fun to this day. It's built around the trifecta of guns,melee, and grenades. Throw in the best vehicle controls(it's either this or battlefield out of current shooters) and you have one of the most fun FPS games. Especially hijacking vehicles. Sadly while I do love the series, I feel like it has so many missed opportunities. Anyway I'll let the pretentious crowd enjoy ripping into it. I always do get a nice laugh from them.

Totally, i'll probably play this game when it comes out on my friends 360. if its trully a good game like CoD i'll buy the console for sure
Don't do it. You are going to buy a 360 for 1 game. A game that is filled with 12 year olds and fanatical followers ... puts up flameshield from the 10000s of halo fans in sw.. If you have a pc go play halo 2 on it and then you will see its nothing special. I felt the same way, then i got halo 2 back on pc and it was crap.. I had more fun with Quake 2 (yes "2" from 1998). I didn't like the weak guns, the lasers and the squeaky voiced midget aliens, plus whats with the rainbow colored armors? What sort of sci-fi game has rainbow armors , and aliens that speak English (in cartoon form no less?) Seriously Final, go get BFBC2 if you like COD gameplay so much its much better then mw2 but it will give you a similar vibe. BFBC2 is a dream fps. Funny how what you're complaining about is being fixed and improved on in Reach but you probably didn't know this :|| Rainbow-colored armors... That's MP only and you can change the colors, some people WANT rainbow-colored armors so, get this: they change their armor colors! Gasp! I know, shocking, isn't it? Weak guns: Reach is updating all the guns and adding new ones, they look grittier and slightly more realistic (not saying they look Battlefield realistic) and the guns sound awesome and overall way better (Just YouTube Halo reach gun sounds) Lasers: They're plasma and I don't see anything wrong with them, although Bungie stated the plasma burns look and feel more realistic Aliens speaking English: Bungie has said this several times already, the Covenant will not speak in English in Reach and they're even making up their own language (this one is recent) for them. Am I seriously the only one who loves Bad Company 2 yet at the same time is looking forward to Reach?

BFBC2 is a dream fps. midnight shade proves an amazing point...CoD's more fun :) Halo is filled with a bunch of preteens who cant even jerk off and get pissed if u kill them...and yes of course i remembered ur past post...once again tho now Halo reach is coming and i got kinda interested...i refuse to pay for gold to go back to Halo 3 tho...what still gets me is why on earth Halo Legends was released on PS3 when its a 360 game :lol: i dunno if ill ever get over that :P
I know that many people here on SW own more than one system so i thought its the best place to ask questions like this, i have never played a halo game before ( only tried it for a couple of minutes a long time ago ).. i know its an FPS.. so far the only FPS i really enjoyed and still do are the call of duty games. no mater how many FPS games i play i always go back to call of duty.. i went to watch some of the videos on the recent release of serise and To be honest it dosent look that intresting to me. i thought it could be more like the Call of duty games with the controls, killstreaks etc, i'v noticed that it has coloful characters and how there is no gravity, i'v also noticed the maps are bigger ( which remind me of MAG ), what makes this game so popular? whats makes it a good game? which is better Call of Duty or Halo?
i want someone who played the game to answer me or any game of series, again i never played it so have no idea whats going on and im very curious.
by the way am i the only one who never played it? :P

Jealous haters say it's popular only because of the hype, but the truth is, Halo games are among the best game series ever.

i feel like thats insulting to some of the other great game franchises out there, its probably the most popular game franchise in recent memory but not the best game series, i mean to be one of the best series out there it has to be able to have people look back at it and say "damn that was a good time" and when i look back at the story for halo 3 i cant say that, the online was fun sure, but thats just it, the online in halo games is always the selling point, the story may be solid to long time followers but to people who havent played one of those games before the story will come accross as confusing and convoluted, the best gaming franchises out there have compeling stories, and i really dont think that halos story was all that great. also inb4 your opinion
The first Halo game was something special, because nothing quite like it had ever been done on a console... 2 and 3 are solid games, but just didn't have that certain something that Combat Evolved had... maybe they'll redeem themselves with Reach...
