Something that all system wars users can agree on is that the Wii has sold the most units. And that gas prices are pretty high these days. and that the dreamcast was an ok system .

Hmm... Name a sound based game then =P I was talking about gaming now, not in the future (also yes I am making a proper discussion out of this :lol: )

well you could play something like guitar hero and turn the telly off. hook up the console to a seperate speaker system though of course. then try and guess what buttons to press and when. then turn the telly back on and see the score. i havent played guitar hero so i cant say whether the player could guess what button to press and when based on the music alone. as for games developed with no visuals in mind....i cant say that i can think of any. it would certainly be interesting to try somethign though. getting a little crazy here...but alot of spiders dont see very well for example. instead they feel vibrations in the ground. if a dev could somehow thranslate the spiders system into sound and then use it in a game as the main gameplay mechanic....that could be pretty kewl. for example the player would need to judge the position and size of the target and then pounce at just the right moment. oo that could be used with natal...possibly. obhiously the more speakers the better (at least 5.1 would be needed). that goes under the category of crazy snot though. still if anyone wants to run with that idea then feel free to send me 100,000 dollars in the post first :P. also note: i didnt think of the idea of games with no visuals...i first heard it from shigsy..just for the record.

Agreed. I am usually playing games 6 months to a year behind release dates. There are exceptions that I buy on first week, but normally I am buying games a year after release.

You need to pay more attention to the "can be" part. It "can be" cheap, and it "can be" expensive depending on what platform you game on.

where the snes/genesis generation was good for platformers and RPG games, the 64 generation was also good for both of those, but since then both have gone down hill, and now both equate to homeless people getting tossed a dime by developers that would rather make shooters then spend effort caring about story or gameplay

That you could build a small house on a 360 powerbrick.

PS3s could be used to keep an your airship anchored.

A Wii could prop up a table leg in a house built by Ikea without throwing off the decor.
