to be completely honest, Sony has been playing catch up as far as software goes... MS still has a better selection of software on their console. I think MS has a stronger 2010, tbh.

To the poster earlier, FF VsXIII hasn't even been remotely talked about as far as launch windows go.... and with the mega letdown that FFXIII was... I'm surprised people are still going to hype it. Also AGENT hasn't even been shown to anyone... and you think its going to be released this year??

Mod Nation Racers, GT5 & The Last Guardian are the only reasons PS3 owners have reason to be excited, officially, for 2010. I'm sure we'll know more at E3.

@ the TC... please don't assume games are being launched withing a certain time frame, when we don't even have an announcement yet. Wait til this Thursday after Fallon's show... and if not then, then wait til E3, b4 talking about Gears 3.

Halo Reach will be good, Alan Wake will be a AA, AAA at most, GeoW 3 hasnt even been announced, Fable 3 will be AA and AAA at best.

Sony's been on top of their game for the past two years now, the games they have been making have been high quality games, and most averaging AAA.

Nearly Half of that list (1-9) are already out/ coming this year. :o Even if that somehow weren't the case, we could say the same thing about any system, like the TC's list regarding late releases, etc.

The other half are E3 guesses, much like the TC's guess of GeoW 3 coming this year (even with rumors that it's either this year, or April 2011). I was responding to the TC, and you knew that.;) Either way, the TC just didn't know what was up, and now he does, thanks to moi.

Have you played Demons Souls? If you have and you agree with GS's GOTY last year, then I'd say either you don't play many games, are a fanboy or... Choose the non obvious choice (the lesser popular game), because that makes you feel like you're SOOOOOO DEEP & INSIGHTFUL.

i own a ps3 and played GOW3. i liked it but prefered the first two games much more, and i hope ur not serious about the halo comment...

Yeah, I guess it's not the most original pairing, but I thought you were more PC, so I was surprised to those games as your faves. Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with those whatsoever, it was interesting is all.:P I learned more about psn! :o :P

I am. I love me some SOCOM though, for whatever reason, and racers with the ambition of GT5 are hard to find on PC. Both should give me more of a reason to use my PS3...

Sony's Answer to Halo Reach, Alan Wake, Gears of War 3, and Fable 3?

IMO Those games are to counter God of War 3, Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain, and Demon Souls.

You're right there is a big difference between "average" and "not game of the year"...

So why don't you tell me what was so GREAT & SUPER that I missed during my time with it? Was it the awesome character development? The excellent voice acting? The great tech that it used? The story? LOL.... the only thing about the game that is above average is the combat & atmosphere. I guess that was enough for most people.
