True, but my point is that the Halo universe will live on whether Master Chief is the protagonist or not. Maybe Bungie will go all KOTOR on us and deliver an FPS set before the events of Halo: CE.

According to Bungie, Halo 3 will be the last one in the game's story arc. If what they say is infact true, then we should not expect any sequels (or prequels if I've understood their statement correctly).

I, however, see countless of spin-offs popping up; Halo Wars being only one in a series of them. As long as the franchise keeps absorbing money, it won't die.

I would not be surprised if they infact did lie or mislead with their statement, a Halo 4 wouldn't surprise me at all. But having played the games, it simply feels as if it's coming to an end story-wise.

I normally enjoy 1up features but i say that one was lame.The best worst videogames ads part 1,2 and 3 were more humorous.
