What's the best game of all time?

You couldn't sum up a list of the "greatest" games of all time in a list of 500, let alone 5. Those listed in the poll, aside from A Link to the Past are laughable. There have been countless other great games deserving of those positions. Hell, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess are all better than Ocarina of Time.

Everything about the "greatest game of all time" idea is flawed. It is just a popularity contest. The truly great games are the ones very few people have even played, while the good ones are played by everyone. There is no one, singular "greatest" game. There can't be. Everyone's individual tastes vary from person to person and from genre to genre. What you need is a non-numbered list of agreed upon entrants, from every genre, on every platform, from all generations. Like the list Gamespot put together for a time.

I mean, calling freakin' OOT (A Game that Influenced 3-DAction/Adventure Games today) a"Laughable" contender for GOAT? I can understand you liking MM, WW, and TP better, but what you said...is asinine.

P.S. Saying that the Great Games are those that few play and the Good ones are what most people play...are you TRYING to make people mad here?

Deus Ex. No doubt about it. No game released so far has come close to its quality.

to me MGS4 will forever live on in my memory, that game was just a huge smacker for me! so yeh MGS4 is the best game of all time!!
