Often times in video games there are sequels that blow there predecessors out of the water, and some of the time they're predecessors were garbage. So which of these kind of games were the best at truely being a step up, and beyond there predecessors awfulness.
Killzone 2: Don't we all wish we could forget killzone 1, and its broken design? As for killzone 2, it was awesome, and its design was vastly greater than the first.
Red Steal 2: This is more of a replacement than a sequel to a horrible wii game with an awesome premise. Great swordplay, and overall great design redeem a game that's better off forgotten.
Age of Empires 2: Age of empires 1 was a largly weak game that didn't have that much depth to it. As for AOE2, it became one of the best rts games ever made. Too bad AOE3 was just as bad as the first.
Street Fighter 2: Does anyone even remember the first Street Fighter game? No? Yea, theres a reason for that.
Spider man 2: This was one of those rare games based on a movie that was great while its predecessor was nothing more than the stereotypical bad movie based video game that it was. It could also be the foundation of the superpowered sandbox genre that spawned infamous, prototype, and that one hulk game I forgot the name of.
