Probably NeoGAF, although it's not as simple as signing up and they're very strict (I'm still waiting for my account). Nothing wrong with this place, although you seem to constantly keep returning and bashing it. Not really suitable for SW either.

Maybe, reading back I did seem a little hostile (I'm really not! :P ) But the last post I saw from TC was him saying "he's done with these forums" after just 4 posts because he disagreed with a users opinion - followed by this thread, so you can see my suspicions. Either way, welcome TC :) As for forums, GS, IGN, Giant Bomb and NeoGAF are the big ones. I'm sure I'm forgetting some somewhere though.

I wonder what they consider to be undesirable, seems like a totalitarian system. Probably worded that wrong - people who aim to wind people up (aforementioned trolls), hostile people, etc. I guess the reasoning is that anyone who goes to the length of signing up with a private email, then the approval process is less likely to join just to cause trouble. It seems like a nice community.
Youtube is a horrible place for discussion in my experience. This place isn't really that slow in the scheme of things. I don't think Youtube has any moderation going on, all the comments I ever see are just people arguing or people begging for thumbs up.

Upload something that goes against someones copyright and they'll soon warn you, threaten to kill another user and nothing happens. It's sad really.

I've posted my opinion on some vids and actually had replies calling me for everything. I've met the odd guy that will discuss a subject civil and calmly. This is however extremely rare.
YT is a good place for fanboys though who can just shout at each other with mum jokes.
