What's the most difficult game you have ever played?

We all have played games where sometimes you just feel like throwing your controller into the drywall in frustration because of how difficult it is. This is the thread to share those games.

For me it would have to be Homeworld 2. The Thaddis Sabbah mission was just near impossible. Shinobi would be a close second.

Devil May Cry 3 is pretty hard IMO

If we talk about old games, Ninja Gaiden 2 in the NES and Contra III were my personal headeaches.

For the N64, it has to be F-Zero.

Excluding dumb ones like IWTBDG, Mega Man 2 or 3. Metroid Prime 2 was also really frustrating, which is why I still haven't finished it.Cherokee_Jack

For some strange reason I found Ninja gaiden 2 to be easier...at least on the normal mode. I won't even touch mentor. Friggin exploding shuriken ninjas everywhere :x

We talking about challenging difficult or frustrating difficult?

Challenging might be Final Fantasy Tactics (especially against Wiegraf in a lot of places or various other battles).

Frustrating would be Gears of War (1 and 2) on Insane. Especially the part heading to Landown shooting down the nemacysts. Or Street Fighter 2 fighting Bison, or Megaman 9 in its entirety.
