What's the point in buying a PS3 right now?

The question for me is, since Mgs4 is the only exclusive I want now, do I want to pay $$$$ for that game alone? If the xbox 360 drops $50 on August 8, it's gonna be the best next gen buy ever for me.Super-Skunk420

You might as well wait. MGS4 is not coming out until 2008 and by that time sony will probably have the 40 gb ps3 but if you don't like waiting like me then you should get a xbox 360 when the price drops because you can play some of the best games and not have to wait.

You can play halo 3, madden, gta 4, mass effect, blue dragon, eternal sonta, lost oddyssey, dmc4, pgr 4, and whatever I listed in my post.

Sure you can play gta 4 and madden on the ps3 but xbox 360's verson of gta 4 has extra contents and madden will be 60fps while the ps3 will be 30fps.

It only got a 5.5 in one magazine which is gonna be released in 10 days.. -__- And all other reviews have been positive, Blue Dragon also got a 6.5 in that magazine.

Whatever, but im still saying it will flop but if you insist that it is AAA/AA material then prepare for ownage.

Just got mine. Have been having a blast with superstar dust HD Rainbow six vegas and motorstorm. Plus the demos. I have been watching alot of movies on it too with my new theatre setup. it's sweet trust me. And this is coming from a person who owned an Xbox 360 as well.Trading_Zoner

I meant that MGS4 is the only PS3 game im interested in, and that is not worth the purchase. I love thegames that are out already and that are coming out in the near future for the 360, I can't wait to get one(hopefully august 8).
