The PS3 has some great games out, as well as some quality multi-plats. It has free online and Blu-Ray playback. It is also a very solid and quality piece of hardware.
These are all good reasons to buy a PS3. Although I take it you will now stumble and run damage control on your fanboy post with things like, "But teh 360 has teh better games!" Which is totally beside the point. You claim there was no point to the PS3 and you are wrong.

Aren't like 90% of ps3 games on the 360? So wouldn't that mean that the ps3 is in the same boat as the 360 as far as the PC games go? Or maybe you just don't know what you're saying.

RROD did not get you a free arcade game, XBL's downtime and terrible service during the christmas holiday got you a free arcade game, and a crappy one at that, not only that but MS did it's best to make the awareness as minimal as possible to save as much money as they could. They also restricted the time period to download the game.
PS3 whether you like it or not did better than the 360 in 2007 , aka Halo 3 year. Stop the damage control.

You should get a 360 because half of what you said is true. The bolded part is it.90% of the online I play is with guys that live less than 25 miles from me so as sucky as it is for the rest of you guys it's worked out pretty well for me so far.

On a side note for other XBL suckers(err I mean users) don't forget to dl your free Witchblade episode. I have never seen one so now I finally get to see if it sucks or not.

Yah, ME sucks, you must've missed when i said in my opinion. and you also missed where i said 22 games, and i forgot to mention i only have 15 360 games. Both were launch consoles, and no, its not just a bluray player.

actually my blu-ray drive in the ps3 was acting up. so sony came in two days an exchanged it on the spot with another ps3. best customer service ive ever had. and i didnt have to stop playing games either, i could still play all my downloaded games.

I was trying to prove that there are GREAT games that aren't AAAE, and that some games that are AAAE arent good (IMO) but i have a 360, ps3, and wii. i dont care what yall think, cause its all opinion.

9s mean nothing. console orangebox got over a 9, and they are not great, and not AAA worthy. and how is it bias? ive played halo, ive played ME, and almost all of the "best" 360 games because i own a 360, just because i dont like them does not mean there biased.
and ratings are all opinions, of certain people. and for the hype over halo 3 it definatly was not worth the hype.

Hmm, the point is to play video games, bluray & DVD & downloaded movies, and to play online with my friends without having to pay a fee on top of my broadband internet bill.

but the person who mentioned the 360 games he didn't like, didn't list those ps3 games, the other guy did. There are very good ps3 games out now (which i prefer more than the 360 exclusives). stop being foolish.
