Shadow of the Colossus, Theres nothing scarier than being in a giant lake with a giant colossus flying over your head. That stuff was scary. copperheadfangReally? I didn't find that game scary, I thought it was awsome
the only real scary game i've played was RE4, but there wasnt anything scary about it.. but its the only game in that genre i've played. Goten_kingTry Resident Evil 1 for gamecube. The scariest in the series. Resident Evil Zero also had its moments, with the mansion and all, but the camera used and lack of Crimson Heads, it isn't as scary as the first.
don't that game is not scary AvatarAkoAre you talking about the REmake? 'Cause if so, you're wrong. Not only is the game incredibly atmospheric, but the enemies, beyond the basic zombies, are rather intimidating. For example, the Crimson Heads. Also, the controls add to the scare factor as well. You can't react really quickly like RE4. It's much more of a survival horror. If you're caught off guard for a second you're in trouble. And then there's issues with having enough ammo... And then try One Dangerous Zombie mode. Suicide bomber zombie. *shudder*
HAHAHAHA , look at all you punks. Talking about how scary RE or Silent Hill was for you. HA!. I laugh at you cowards. You wanna play a real scary game? You wanna know what its like to be a man. Try playing Madden 07 , IN THE DARK. Now there is a game that will send that hairs on the back of your neck up.
LOL.

I think my top is Fatal Frame 2, its got creepy atmosphere, your nearly defenceless, creepy enemies, good backstory.
FEAR is up there, great shock, mind teasers and generally messed up stuff.
REmake was actually great. It put so much pressure on you. Ok, so you can do pretty well against zombies...well, if you don't decapitate them, they come back at a random time, are way stronger, and can sprint. But you can burn the bodies...but you get almost no fuel. After saves I'd have to unwind with the acid gernade launcher...good times.
Eternal darkness was good, but didn't really scare me. Some awsome effects though. All the times my character 'died'.
Ravenholm in HL2 was pretty freaky. All you get is stuff to fling with the gravity gun for the most part. Then those jumping zombies appear.
