I'm just a little confused here... I can see one thinking 3ps games are better than fps, but it sounds to me like you are putting them on complete opposite sides of the spectrum.  Are you saying 3ps are just better than fps, or are you saying fps are the worst and 3ps are the best with all other genres in between?

If you mean genre as a whole then the action genre. *aka games were you run around with a sword and gun and just kill enemies *max payne, 50 cent bulletproof, etc*

QFT about FPS being the worst. The simplest concept of any genre. just aim and shoot. But it's all about fun right? lol...

I don't know that it is an actual genre, and if it is I am probably calling it by the wrong name but,

any and all card battling games.

JRPS is the worst. I don't understand how anyone plays them.

I play mostly FPS and RTS.  RTS the skill is in the strats and micro.  FPS the skill is in the strats and reflexes.  I don't understand how some people find FPS to be boring.  I've played the same map on Counter-Strike:Source for over 800 hours of my life.  It just doesn't get old!

IMO the worst games are those realistic sports games...

Let's play this fake football game with bad graphics when we could just go outside and play the real thing with the most realistic graphics EVAR!!!1

Console FPS are one of the top gaming genres.....on PC's. With consoles they're ridiculously dumbed down for controls and the casual community. If you've played PC FPS's developed soley on the PC and still disagree with me, that's fine everyone has their own opinions. Seriously though beat-me-ups from the 80's have more skill and depth then most console FPS's.

Also most of the jocks play ALOT of FPS's now, though mostly on consoles. 

I play fps hardcore on pc, im not competitive on consoles.  I feel there's no point.  Yes, I realize that the jocks have discovered there's more to life than madden, but they still aren't hardcore about fps like I am at least. 

When it comes down to console FPS... I need only mention one game:

BLACK

Games like 99 Nights, DMC, Heavenly Sword are the absolute worst.  Boring in a huge way.  Hack and slash, repeat and repeat and repeat.  Games like this should of stayed in the arcades in the 80's, and never came out.

I find it funny that people say that JRPG's are the worst when they're one of the most skilled and crafted genres out there. It's just that people play only final fantasy or that the games too complicated for them so they leave and play something else.Dencore

Really, most skilled and crafted? Proof? Just because it comes from your home culture, doesn't mean it's the "most skilled and crafted. I personally don't find the same cliche and emotional story revolving around (usually) 4 pre-puberty teenage girlyboys very appealing. I have tried out a few JRPGs over here and the last thing they are is complicated... Whatever floats your boat though.

only good if all the character's are wearing ponchos and bags over their heads. i'll admit their are a few semi masculine characters that actually look cool but not nearly enough. a character doesn't need to be insane like duke nukem but not a girly man either.

To the thread creator.  Way to capitalize a misspelled word in your topic.  Yeh.  Anyway, I would say that Barbie licensed horse themed games are the worst "genre".
