[QUOTE="Nagidar"][QUOTE="desyple"]there i fixed it for you. of course everything is optional but home is not needed to enhance the peripheral gaming experience as much as the accessories vachisko stated.desyple
Can you open a 360 arcade and play games straight from the box? Yes, all the extras are optional and don't "enhance" anything, they are all luxuries.
luxuries that affect the a gaming experience such as more comfortable playing from your living room without the need of a large ethernet cable running through the house. or the charge pack keeps the controller running longer without the need to get up and change/buy more batteries. and a hard drive to save games, movies, music, and themes/dlc that make gaming all the better. the things you buy in home aren't nearly as necessary to improve ones gaming experience as the peripherals stated. of course this could all be subjective but still is a valid point/argument.Ethernet > Wireless, if you don't want to take the time to run a cable, than don't.
When the batteries in my PS3 controllers die, guess what? I have to buy new controllers.
When my PS3's HDD gets filled up because of all of the mandatory installs, I have to uninstall games then re-install them to replay those games.
The stuff in Home is massive milking, you cannot downplay it, if you want to really get into Home, you will end up spending a butt load of money to make your "Home" look / feel better.
All of these things are optional and all companies will milk you if you let them.
