Whats wrong with Square Enix?

Why cant they support the 360?

I mean actual support and not some half assed crap, they have plenty of IPs they could put on the 360 that fans are just dying to get

I mean it wouldnt be so bad if they hadnt said this: We Want to support all consoles; a Three way race

if you ask me this is hardly supporting all three, its supporting Sony and Nintendo and insulting MS with some crappy space shooter, and no the game did poorly, its been out for months in japan with like 46 copies sold altogether...

I am sure if they are afraid of a good game not selling well on the 360 I am sure it wont hurt that bad with all the money MS is prolly offering to them to make it

it has nothing to do with race, it's to do with money and facts

money should be no problem, can you imagine how much money MS is offering to SE to put a final fantasy game on the 360? 

possibly more than they can get in sales...

Square Enix makes JAPANESE-style games .... the 360 is an AMERICAN-style console. Obviously Square Enix would support Nintendo/Sony more because they are the two consoles in Japan .... by currant sales, MS shouldn't be in Japan ... daqua_99

its not an american style console, MS had designers from Japan and europe to design it, among many other things, there is no real reason why the 360 cant have the JRPG's, people arnet going to buy it in japan till they do, and yet everyones main reason for the 360 not having japanese style games is cause it doesnt have the sales here, isnt that a bit unfair?

And what you say is the catch-22 phase .... no one in Japan will buy a 360 until more Japanese games come out, yet Japanese developers won't support it until there are more sales in the Land of the Rising Sun ..... this basicly means MS remains stagnant whilst the competitors win in Japan, so the developers would rather develop on the higher-selling system ...

they established deals to get DMC4, Katamari, Trusty Bell, VF5, Biohazard 5, and others to the 360.. 

Lemmings just need to stop crying over the fact that they will never get a FF on the 360. Be happy you're getting jRPG's from Mistwalker. They're just as respectable as SE. I love how Lemmings are in damage control about this. Just get over it and move on. 360 is selling great. And great games are coming out. The lead designer says a lot in terms of Mistwalker and their leg work. Sakaguchi or wheover? FF creator? I think Lost Oddessy is going to be a big seller.

It will sell when it gets some Japanese games on it. Blue Dragon boosted the sales a bit. So will Devil May Cry 4, Eternal Sonata and Lost Odyssey.

I think it's a little to far to say that MS put up offers to developers. It's probably more of a developer decision than a MS influence. Capcom's happy with MS. Just as SE is happy with Sony. It's pretty much the same deal. Although we still have a lot of looking towards other companies as to where they stand with the big guns. Konami with MGS4, and Namco with Tekken 6. (Well, Tekken 6 is a big game for me at least).

Game would sell poor, but SW would be a riot. SE is all about making sure this game does GREAT.

If they like money so much, why release it on a console that is only selling 3 mill... I suppose the time FF13 comes out the PS3 would of sold lots more and FF13 will also help the PS3 in sales.. but wouldn't they get more money by releasing multiplat if there so money hungry..  I honestly think there just being loyal to sony by keeping it exclusive to the PS3 like it was for past games with the exception of FF7/8 which where on the PC but flopped on the PC..

the millions lost would easily be made up by the money from MS, becides whos to say it wont sell?

bacically all the people wanting FF13 in japan havnt bought their system for it yet, otherwise the PS3 would be selling much better, so wouldnt they compare the 360 to the PS3, specially in the price area? cheaper price for the same game

but I mainly wanna see the 360 do good in japan and a good SE game will accomplish that

The only reason FFXI was ever even released for the 360 was because they felt betrayed by sony when they stoped suporting the hard drive required to play FFXI on the PS2 making it somewhat hard for new FFXI PS2 users to hop abord so they ported it over to 360 I'm assuming after M$ gave them a fair deal of money.

Other than that, SE and Sony have been partners for a long time, and the small revenue they would make from going multiplat on a poor system for there target audience would nowhere near overshadow pissing off Sony there long time friend. It's all about Money in the long run wich releasing a game for the 360 could actually cost them more then it would even help.

 I can't even imagine many 360 users to even buy a FF game just because many are blind fanboys who know FF is a sony brand and are biased beyond belief...not saying all 360 users are blind fanboys I own one myself...  Se supporting M$ just is not a sound plan for anyone really, besides M$ wanting to toot its own horn.

They Havent, they wont, they prolly never will. Blue Dragon was suppossed to solve that problem and it didnt. Im sure SE took note of that. Now, for some reason, the lemmings are looking to Lost Oddessy or Eternal Sonata to save the 360 in japan, but they prolly wont either. Historically, american products dont do well, and this doesnt apply to just video games.
