They Havent, they wont, they prolly never will. Blue Dragon was suppossed to solve that problem and it didnt. Im sure SE took note of that. Now, for some reason, the lemmings are looking to Lost Oddessy or Eternal Sonata to save the 360 in japan, but they prolly wont either. Historically, american products dont do well, and this doesnt apply to just video games.

Why cant they support the 360?

I mean actual support and not some half assed crap, they have plenty of IPs they could put on the 360 that fans are just dying to get

if you ask me this is hardly supporting all three, its supporting Sony and Nintendo and insulting MS with some crappy space shooter, and no the game did poorly, its been out for months in japan with like 46 copies sold altogether...

 

I am sure if they are afraid of a good game not selling well on the 360 I am sure it wont hurt that bad with all the money MS is prolly offering to them to make it

How do u know its a crappy space shooter? Square Enix makes great games, so I look forward to every game they make for next gen systems to rock. And also remember they are smart, they are creating games for the xbox 360 which goes to Microsofts strengths and those are shooting games and u can almost count on it being an online game aswell, and should be a great title. I dont see where u are coming from with Square not supporting the xbox 360?

it seems pretty obvious why the games are being made for the consoles that are doing well in japan and not the one who isnt doing well

Um they can still sell millions in the US and Europe. Just like capcom did and like Mistwalker will. Americans buy allot of Japanese games.

Well the PS3 is doing crap in Japan. Almost as bad as the 360. They need to port to the Wii if they want more Japan sales.

Well like people are saying SE doesn't care about a console's life or anything of that matter. The only thing they care about is success of a console. If the console has success (especially in their home region) then they will support with their highest acclaimed games. If not, then well, expect risky IPs on other consoles like the 360.

 So unless MS basically pays for the entire FF development, we probably won't be seeing one on the 360.

Relying on your game to sell the console is not a good business plan. Both the PS and the PS2 sold like crazy in japan well before the first FF game was released. I doubt FF13 wont even sell half as much as FFX.

Sony Fanboys more or less. Remember who has been thier money train for the past 10years. Heck they are still support the PSP...DS is pretty much better for them almost anyway. It sells more. It costs less to develop for. But then again...About all PSP is getting is a game that seemed to be in development since the launch of the PSP, A fighting game*Shivers*..and a bunch of ports.

I guess to speak. They are kind of like Konami. They still think the market is the same as 10years ago. They forget thier series have been decreasing in sales, That Japan is the smallest market out of the 3 and seems to be adjusting to casual games. While Hardcore decrease. That NA is the single most important market.

Then again...FF13 is not comming for another year and a half^^ Japanese market by then will be completely Nintendo and FF will sell okay. But...Sony really has nothing else for them anymore. Thier JRPGs consist of White Knight and FF. That really is about it. They do not have those casual games like Nintendo. well, according to the mainstream gaming press, the PSP is a failure, but it is actually performing quite well. It has a very nice lineup of games for this year and 2008 to compliment its already great game library. But in comparison to the DS, the PSP is getting "owned" however 3rd parties are getting the same software yeilds on the PSP as they are getting on the DS, which is why 3rd party is pretty much split 50/50 in the handheld market right now. I don't think any console will ever have the 3rd party support the PS2 had. More than likely, the winner of this next gen war will be th wii with its massive no-gamer appeal, with the 360 and PS3 following and being to close to call. As Nintendo has demonstated with the DS, they don't care about 3rd parties, and certain 3rd parties have even stated that the wii and DS are not their type of machine. So I can easily see a 50/50 3rd party situation on the console front as well. This lion's share of third party just is not going to be here this generation. all signs are against it.
