Whats your greatest "OH SNAP" moment in gaming?

When I bought my Wii for the first time at launch. It was $250, but it was a long wait. I got home, and played Wii Sports for 3 hours with my friends.

Then I was like, "Oh SNAP, Nintendo got me!"My mates all laughed, then we went to a pub. They thanked me for making the plunge instead of them.

Also, when I beat Metroid NES (I bought it for $80 on launch day) and in Metroid it was revealed Samus Aran was a woman, when you beat the game. No one in school believed me, and a bully punched me for lying. Of course, a few months later, more had bought the game, and the truth was revealed. Later, the bully came up to me and stole my lunch money, but he didn't mention he was sorry for the sucker punch he gave me dasy earlier.

Finally, In Metal Gear Solid on PSOne, the secret ending, that was a great Oh Snap moment.

For this gen it would be mass effect. I remember the selling point of the game was the decisions you make greatly affect the outcome of the game. I was dissapointed around half way through the game as it didnt seem true. Untill, SPOLIERS ... when your on planet Virmire (i think?) and your suddenly given the decision to save one of your crew either kaiden or ashley. All i remember saying was OH SNAP!!!! THAT was the kind of decisions i wanted to makei in the game!

I sat there for about 10 minutes thinking, but then i remembered you could have sex with Ashley so i let Kaiden die.

(i'll edit some more from other games later. theres plenty from OOT, FFX and shenmue. i just gotta remember)

Yeah, that was one of the best games to come out last generation, it was a great PS2 moment. The Wii version is good, but not as remarkable as the original masterpiece (Which is understandable, since the Team didn't make the Wii version).

There have been so many I can't remember which one is the greatest. Some I can remember right now:

MGS = When they hint you on the radio how to defeat Pshyco Mantis.

Resident Evil = When the dog jumps from the window.

FF VIII = When I saw the opening CG movie.

Asteroids = The first videogame I ever played and when the little UFO appears.

Farcry / Crysis = When I saw the jungle.

Manhunt = When I got my first kill.

On the snes playing chrono trigger and stealing the food (or whatever it was in the market) and later on in court getting blamed for it. I was like WTF!!!!

Getting my mind read on metal gear solid 1

All the crazy hullicinations that occur in Eternal darkness, especially blowing your own head off.

Playing monkey Island 2 on the Amiga and bragging to all my friends at school that the game took 11 disks to play.
