What was it!? :o
You face Darth Malak for the first time as a scrub Jedi, he starts laughing and acting all funny, and drops the big one: You are his master, Darth Revan. You were captured by Jedi and brainwashed to forget your awesome past as a Sith Lord. Everyone in your party thinks you're a major badass and from then on it's obvious that if you don't go Dark Side you're a massive fail. Anyway, I gotta say that my first encounter with multiple Metal Gear RAYs in MGS2 warranted an OH SNAP. Hardest boss fight evar. The part in HL 2: Episode 2 when you're crawling through a duct and it falls to the floor, then you peek out at the room you landed in...Cherokee_JackThat scared me on my 1st and 2nd play through :P and it was from episode 1 I believe.
Finding out Samus Aran is a chick.
Finding out the events in Link's Awakening was a dream (though it was kinda there and a bit obvious, I still remember how he laid on the debris of his ship and looked at the island)
Fighting the Bloodthirster in Dawn of War
Probably my favourite was Travis' and Jeane's background in No More Heroes. Seriously, that was just "what the ***" all over, and then the true ending was just as bizarre.
In no real order, just a few random ones: ****Spoilers listed after each game title******
Castlevania Symphony of the Night:
When you get to about the halfway point in the game, and the entire map literally turns upside down.
Metal Gear Solid:
Psycho Mantis. :)
Metal Gear Solid 4:
After Vamp dies, and you get to pilot Rex and fight your way out of Shadow Moses and ultimately fight Ray who is piloted by Liquid. Also, Psycho Mantis' cameo.
Dead Space:
When whatshername ends up betraying you and flies off with the artifact after killing the doctor, but then that other girl uses the ship's tracking beam or whatever to pull her back lol. Yeah, I'm bad with names in that game. I only remember Isaac's name. The whole game had nice little surprises here and there. Nothing too original or anything, but they were still neat.
Valkyria Chronicles:
One word: Isara. :(

thats what first jumped into my head when i read the thread title..... so I'd have to agree.
Edit * Oh yeah and "Would you kindly" man I loved Bioshock.
When I bought my Wii for the first time at launch. It was $250, but it was a long wait. I got home, and played Wii Sports for 3 hours with my friends.
Then I was like, "Oh SNAP, Nintendo got me!"My mates all laughed, then we went to a pub. They thanked me for making the plunge instead of them.

Excellent.
Well, the God of War series was full of so many of them it's hard to just pick one. The final mission in SoTC after killing all of the Colossi did leave me saying all snap. At first it was in a postive sense but then at the end it was an "Oh Crap."
This may not seem like a "oh snap" moment to most, but finally arriving at Lambda Sector in Half Life was one of those great moments in gaming that I will never forget. I knew that I would eventualy come to this place, but it still made a huge impact on me when I finally did.WardCleaver02beautiful just beautiful
Raiden's intro MGS4 (the INSANE fight sequence) and pretty much every boss battle in that game. Also, the motorcycle sequence from that game and MGS3.
The first scarab attack in Halo 3.
The end battle in Oblivion.
Beginning chase sequence in Half Life 2.
Man, there's a whole lot where that came from.
