[QUOTE="110million"]None of the above. I like to go for Tank, Tanks are not heavy hitters, they are decent hitters with massive defense. AdobeArtist

I kind of grouped the tanks and damage dealers together, as they both typically still carry the heavy sets of armor and weapons, with only a 40/60 difference in focus on damage or protection either way. Also both being in the thick of battle and not at a distance. Which is to say they have more in common with each other than they do with stealth and magic users who wear very light to no armor at all, and weaker melee weapons.

You can't really simplify classes like that. :o I know you only have 5 spots, I'm not really complaining, I'm just saying, Heavy Hitters and tanks have such a completely different purpose, goal and play style, that I did not like grouping it in with that. The games you listed have pretty meh class systems, not a huge variety from class to class outside a few key skills, so I get it that when you mean it like that it isn't very different.

18Bard/2Fighter

Build your bard as a melee combatant. Give him a strong CON and STR. You take the two levels of fighter for the free bonus feats and grab all of the two weapon fighting with them and your normal character feats. So you end up with two weapon fighting, improved two weapon fighting, greater two weapon fighting, oversized two weapon fighting, weapon focus, power attack, toughness, and improved critical.

If you go human, then you can add an exotic weapon proficiency.

Learn2powergame, dude. Casters multiclassing with classes that don't add to their caster level is almost always a bad thing, however, if you are going to multi in some fighter with a 3/4 BAB progression class (like bard or rogue), you should go ahead and take 4 fighter levels. 18 bard/2 fighter will give you a BAB of 15/10/5 at 20th level, meaning even if you go epic level, you will never get more than 3 attacks per round with your primary hand, no matter how high you jack your attack bonus up. Taking 16 bard/4 fighter will get you a BAB of 16/11/6/1, giving you that extra attack per round (as well as 1 more free feat), a possible 8 attacks per round, with the Perfect Two-weapon Fighting epic feat. Rogue/fighter makes a far better mix, though, for two-weapon domination. 8 attacks a round doing a possible 600 or more damage each? Hard to beat...

*The above all assumes 3rd/3.5 ruleset.

D&D bard style has always been my favourite, but it really doesn't fit any of those. Closest it the crowd controller, but... Where's the "jack of all trades"? All you've got there are basically specialist types, and you're trying to lump the jack of all trades in with the buff-debuff-crowd control class.

probably the heavy hitter, I like taking bad guys out as soon as I can, I dont really care about how much health/mp I lose. I also do like to strategize a bit as well, so I also enjoy going stealthy from time to time.

I tend to gravitate more toward mages, because they have a plethora of utility skills and can attack from a distance. But I'm especially drawn toward multifunction cIasses like the WoW Druid and the FF Red Mage. Unfortunately, most offline RPGs don't use them all that well.

I love me some bow and arrows or crossbow so I guess a ranger. Other than that I like being the half breed, nothing great just all around average class.

Stealth :P Just because you can steal stuff. (In most RPGs anycase.)
