Whats your reason for preferring one system?

Other than "it's got better graphics" or "it was cheaper" or "it has better games" etc.

I prefer Xbox not because I think it's the best, but because I try to support US companies. I live in the US so I might as well support the market.

What is your reason? Does it have nostalgic value? Or are you friends with the CEO of the system you prefer? Or was it a bet made?

I just like gaming on the PS3 more than other consoles/handhelds. I've grown familiar with the controller, and I like the exclusives a lot.

I still enjoy all my other systems though.

I prefer the exclusives on that one system.

I play other systems like PS3, PC, and I had a 360 but I still prefer Nintendo systems because they make a lot of my favorite games.

Edit* It could be nostalgia because I always owned a Nintendo console for most of my life. I started gaming with a Nintendo console when I was two in 1988.

Probably because I have grown up with the Playstation. I got it when I was 6 years old and then went on to own a ps2 and now im a proud owner of a ps3. So nostaligia is a big factor. Plus I prefer the exclusives for ps3, my personal opinion of course.

But Im a huge fan of gaming in general so I dont bash on other systems....I also own a 360, because alas it does have great exclusives also.

Also I wouldn't be able to play games like Assassin's Creed or Little Big Planet or No More Heroes or Final Fantasy if I bought games based on your reasoning.

I wouldn't like only having one system. I prefer the DS and PC for modern systems. I also really like the PSP. SNES, Genesis, and NES are my long-time favorites and hard to see anything truly topping them for me. I also really enjoy a lot of the RPGs and platformers from the PS1 and PS2 days. PS3 and 360 aren't very interesting to me. Hopefully next gen is better or I'll skip the successors.

The exclusives of course. Well that and reliability. Oh and it has to have the power of the current gen and a normal controller (heres looking at you Nintendo).

Games, bang for the buck and overall quality of the product.

These are the three main reasons why I don't own a 360. The games I want to play are already on either the PC or PS3, I don't agree with paying to play online, and lets' face it, the 360's a shoddy product. Hardware failure as widespread as that is inexcusable.

One fact that cannot EVER be denied is the fact that in some way, shape or form EVERY system has good exclusives that both players of those systems and the industry as a whole rates very highly. Therefore owning one system = LOL.

Because it matches with my furniture

Because my friends all have an xbox and most of them actually dislike the ps3 after owning it at one point. they said the online feels more social on the 360.

The Wii because it has the most games that I like

I stick to one system because, even thou i would like some exclusives from other systems i feel buying a second system doesn't really give me that much of a different library.

I should also add that i do like building up on trophies even thou i don't particularly care. I feel it's stupid to split my time between multiple consoles and don't build at least a somewhat decent gaming profile (i don't have any plats but i think it's cool you can see what people have played by looking at a single gaming profile).

I chose Sony because i prefer their exclusives, and combining PS3 with PC i really don't have time nor need to play other systems games.

If i was filthy rich i would buy them all, but i would prolly have the other systems collecting dust, only picking them up for a very rare exclusive here and there.

My preferred system is the ps3.

1 ) It has all the games I want to play (MGS 4, God of War, Disgaea, Uncharted, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2, Infamous, Demon's Soul + multiplat games/PSN games). Xbox doesn't have any games I'm interested in aside from DOA. I'm not interested in anything Nintendo has to offer.

2 ) Blu-Ray, Internet Browser, Playstation Home, PSP-PS3 connectivity

3 ) Free Online gaming, Emotional attatchment (I had the best gaming experience when I invested in Sony's hardware, so I'm sticking with this company)

So you support companies trying to rip everyone off... Great logic there.

I'll support companies to a certain extent, depending on how good their product and customer service is. For example, Because The Witcher 2 was such a great game, CDProjekt cares about it's consumers by supplying all DLC absolutely free and updates frequently; I went ahead and bought a Steam version of Witcher 2, and I also bought the Collector's edition off of Amazon.

I also support the PS3 over the 360 and I'm American also. Because they actually have good games coming out and their online is still free.

Many American companies are about greed, which is why I don't like many of them.

I like them all about the same. Brand loyalty and fanboyism is just stupid.

I don't prefer one system, I just play on one system more than the other. Depends on what I want to play.
