Who cares if it will destroy the market or be horribly infeasible.

So my infeasible idea would be infinite amounts of hardware accesorries, because last time I check, pirates can't pirate hardware. It would make everything overpriced and complicated, but hey, no more pirates.

Plant a microscopic C4 capable of killing anyone within a 5 metre radius inside the game box. If they deicde to do whatever is neccessary to allow others to pirate the game, the C4 can be activated before they get a chance to to what they do.

if it really bothers the companies that much, then the companies could create some sort of division to try and catch pirates, putting out fake downloads on all of the major pirating sites and then so on and so forth.

put a virus in the game that can detect if the game is being pirated, and if the game is pirated it completely fries the persons system and destroys the memory. Its harsh but i doubt they will pirate games again.

Actually remember those PC games that came with pages of random characters and sentences?

Then at some point the game goes: "Enter the 3rd letter on page 3 of the manual".

That was pretty annoying...

Don't let people between 12 and 22 use computers for anything other than playing games and the internet. That way the pirates would lose their market =p

OR, prisoners could be trained to be anti game piracy operatives, they would have microchips placed in their brains to allow them to monitor internet traffic or whatever and when they detect game piracy, rockets would burst out of their feet, they would unsheath their katana and get out their MP5HK and land a mile away from their targets location. Then they would hide until night time, equip their MP5HK with a silencer, make their way towards the pirates house, break in and sneak up to the pirate. Then deliver the final blow by firing a few rounds into their piracy equipment/computer, take a dump on their face, give them a wedgie and cut half of their hair off with the katana. That would sure make things awkward for the pirates.

Have the game scan the first eye it sees after opening and only allow that person to use the game as every time the game boots up you must go through a retina scan

Lol? in my country they are monitoring bandwidth for ageeees

I,for example have only 9 GB of bandwith. If i go over - i pay more

So its like for each 1 GB i "go over" i pay for like 5-10 $

Thats one of reasons i cant download big games but anyway it still dont stop piracy.

In my country pirated games are almost legal to buy lol

That would inconvenience people who download games legally via Steam or D2D though.

Add download codes to all games, like on COD4 GOTY

Make it so If you want to play online you need to download all the settings and maps through the devs official website., that would help.

Xbox360_4_Me

But map is like chunk of data.

So you have lets say XXX YYY ZZZ

you download it from devs site = XXX YYY ZZZ

Now you have downloaded map and you upload it to RAPIDSHARE

Its still same map so its still same code ( XXX YYY ZZZ)

How can you say where did you download it? There is no way of recognising XXX YYY ZZZ to XXX YYY ZZZ

Got a better more realistic idea. Games can't be bought any more, only rented through DD, everyone who owns the console pays a set fee a month, even if they don't download any games at all (but you can pause your account in case you go on holiday or something), you simply choose the game, download it, then delete the game, the system knows you deleted it and lets you download another, you can have 5 games at a time. You could technically keep one forever but you'd only have 4 spaces then.

I think if you did that and made it so each game could only be played on that particular console once DL-ed then you wouldn't be able to get it. Plus if they could make the price for renting fair there'd be no reason to pirate at all, you can play as many games as you like and you only pay a fair price.

Free ad-supported games.

Developers and publishers make more money than they would otherwise, and advertisers pay chump change to get their products into the minds of millions of gamers with wallets now filled with money from not having to pay for games.

Everybody's happy.

Make the games require to be connected to internet in order to play regardless of them being single player or not, and have some kind of online identification. Kinda like mmos, except you don't pay and you don't necessarily play online.

[stupid idea]

break the internet. shut it down. turn off all servers, destroy all network and internet equipment and wipe every website off every hard drive. make it illegal to have network equipment in homes and businesses and have jail time punishments for breaking it.

ban all disc writing hardware and software from the world also. again jail time if u have it.

next, catch all pirates and cut off their hands. they did it in the old days to thieves...why should it change now? also u cant play a game or use a computer if u lack hands :P.

next introduce protection on games that require u too phone the publisher every time u want to play the game. a new code would be required every time u start the game. calls would be $10 per min.

finally all software purchases must be made in front of a police man and a document must eb signed by both u and said law enforcer. courts will randomly pick ppl to turn up in court and prodice said document. failure to do so will incurr hefty fines...and u loose ure hands.

[/stupid ideas]
