Whats youre biggest mistake in game purchase

Anyway, mine was buying dmc4 early for a higher price. Really, it wasnt as good as i thought it would be.

Nintendogs. It was supposed to be a great game. I doubted its entertainment value, but it was well received by most reviewers and it got 9.0 on Gamespot, so I went and bought it. It turns out that it is just boring and slow as hell. Nothing could be less fun than taking care of your virtual puppy. :roll: It could hardly be considered a game actually.

I actually had fun with Nintendogs for like two years, until I realized the dog didn't age or die, so it became boring.

No, I kid but I did buy all of those things and no longer use them/have them/don't despise them. The worst "game" I ever wasted money on was probably Final Fantasy Reverant Wings. I paid freakin' 40 bucks for that, and it was just too shallow. I had just beat XII, so I was a little out of it.

Anyway, the worst hardware ever? PSP, 360, and PS2. At least I could sell the first 2.

However, the PS2 has so many good games, that it has an excuse. The Slim PS2 might be the best piece of hardware ever.

As for my Wii, DS, and PS3, they have been invaluable assets to my gaming. I've enjoyed the hell out of every game I've bought for them, and I have about 10 a piece(4 for PS3), except of course for FFReverant Wings and FFIII for DS, both of which I disliked despite my immense trying.

My lastest would probally be the wii and every game I bought excluding VC titles and RE UC. After over twenty years, I'm done with nintendo. Should have learned my lesson last gen.

PIT FIGHTER for the supernintendo trumps all the crappy games. Anyone who has played this mockery of a game knows that it has the potential to make you want to quit gaming for ever. Whats worse is that i picked it for one of my christmas...rlsoulbrotha

I too HATED ICO with a passion. I ended up enjoying watching her dragged into the darkness, rather than wanting to save her. It had great art direction, but the gameplay was horrid IMO. This sums up my feelings quite nicely.

buying the halo 3 legendary edition

now that i actually know what came with it, i would have preferred the collectors edition

plus they're selling it now at gamestop for 80 bucks. i wasted 50 bucks just to get it on launch, and halo 3 wasn't even that great.

I grew up on games, so as youc ould imagine i had rented/purchased(that is, had my parents purchase) some really crappy games at times, especially with nintendo powers previews being so persuasive to a young mind. They made everything look cool.

As such, i have some games that might be considered crappy. Like friday the 13th for the nes. But, i at least had some fun with the meh games i got as a kid.. all with the exception of one.

Rise of the Robots for the SNES.

Nintendo Powers preview of this game made it look like it was the most beautiful game ever created, with some seriously impressive technical graphics. I loved fighters, i loved robots, and the graphics were awesome. I had to have it, and when i did get it I really tried to like this game. i tried to find excuses for why it was actually pretty good. But it was so dissapointing, short and it wasn't fun to play with someone else. The fighting mechanics were abysmal, and your lack of options was so dissapointing considering some of the other high end fighters out there. Not only was this a bad game that i had such huge expectations for, but it was my birthday present. That just fueled my hatred.

i still have it, btw.

Wow, I never thought I would hear someone say that. The original MGS on psx totally blew me away. The purchase that I regretted the most would have to be Aladdin for the Genesis.

For me, the biggest mistake of buying a game was way back in the day, where i went out to buy a sega genesis game, and it came down to 2 choices. Sonic the HedgeHog 2, or Greendog: the beached surfer dude.

i bought greendog... as soon as i got home and put in the game i realized i had made the biggest mistake maybe of any gamer ever

lol I still can't believe I paid £40 for this. At first it was great me and 2 friends stayed up all night playing it, got up the next morning put it in the PS2 and realised it was ****. My state of Emergency disc is now a weed plate along with Metroid Prime.

Call of Duty 3. $60 for 15 minutes of play before I said, "Wow this sucks."

But hey, I loved Greendog! Although Sonic 2 is better, greendog is still great.

I got Enter the Matrix, very dumb move on my part.

I also got the SegaCD when it came out.

I can tell you the game I played the least after purchasing... That would be... OMG I can't do it. I've never played a bad game.. Hell I even enjoyed Blacksite: Area 51 well didn't enjoy but story kept me wanting more.
