128 player FPS games are already around....(not with XXX content)

Joint ops supports that much....and rather surprisingly....it doesnt lag any more then the average game.

Many PC games have no actual limit in the amount of players they support online.

The bandwidth isn't really the problem so much as latency...... 1mb is plenty to have hundreds of people in a game if everyone has low latency. Latency comes from crappy servers, crappy LANs, and poorly set up computers.

That is some good education.  My thread actually has some value =).  So basically when the servers upgrade there o/s in the future the capability to game with 256 multiplayer isnt so far fetched?

what does OS have to do with anything....

Already many PC FPS games can go well up into the hundreds....

MMO's average out at 10,000 people per server....and the record was set at 30,000

I guess what I meant is when the servers operatin system improves latency over a internet connection. Who knows I just cant wait when you have 127 teammates against 128 on coming soliders with knives guns and flamethrowers.
