I was never one for the whole PC is better than console arguement, because while the PC has benefits it still dosen't outweigh sitting on my comfy couch in front of a 60 inch tv, popping in a disc and just goofing around. Sometimes PC gaming asks me for too much.

ummm.... GoW3 isn't even announced, but if you want to play it that way then Sony will see a Game over when Halo 3, GeoW2, Mass Effect, and Blue Dragon are released.

Of course, both Microsoft and Sony will see game over when Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl release.

So?  XBL is well worth the price.  Think of it as paying for a game you'd play for an entire year.  Geez, no one had a problem with XBL until they found out the PS3 online was free, and it's not even as good as XBL.
