when people claim to have all the consoles, do you believe them?

i think they mainly do it to start trolling on something else. its always like. i have all three consoles but killzone 2 sux. the first thing that pops into my head isw halo fanboy. or they say something like forza 3 doesnt compare to GT5 and i own a 360. yeah. i doubt it. what do youthink? plus, me personally dont see a needto have everycurrent gen console and a PC. i have a 360, dreamcast, jaguar, import saturn, and i had a wii. thats way more then enough gaming for me. i dont actually see it as cool to have so many consoles, i think its kind of strange actually. isnt there better things to do with your free time? but hey? to each his own i guess.

I have no reason not to believe them. But I really don't care overall if they're lying or telling the truth.

No. Of course not. It's physically impossible. The consoles are warring entities. Fans of one console cannot be fans of another, because having one console is pledging your allegiance to the fact that all other consoles are terrible, have no games, and are only bought by people who fail at life. Owning two is saying that both of your consoles are terrible. Owning three means you would automatically kill yourself.

It's just not possible.

Most of the time. I see no reason NOT to believe them, unless the things they post are clearly misinformed and therefore a sing they are lying. But that is rare, I think.

However, I stand firmly by the idea that just because someone has all the consoles, it doesn't mean they are more of a gamer, more hardcore, or even KNOW more about gaming/consoles, than other people. In fact, based on my extensive SW experience, I would say the opposite is true. Many of the people claiming to own all consoles act like biased, unknowledgeable casual fanboys.

I'm on the side of don't give a damn and doubt they really have all 3, especially where they're bashing so hardly on a game they APPARENTLY bought and own.

I own all of the consoles and a PC and I really don't care who believes it. (Well I don't own a Wii anymore..)

Yeah I believe them because I usually always have almost all the consoles. This gen I only need a PS3 then I would've owned all the consoles I had a 360 but now I don't it was really my brothers. Last gen I had all but the Xbox but my brother had an Xbox while I had Dreamcast, PS2, and GCN. The gen before that I had a PS1 and N64 (Wish I had a Saturn) (I only care about the big 3 or big 2 depending on which gen it is.) Only one gen I have ever had 1 console and it was the NES. The next gen I had both Genesis and SNES.

i could care less and those people who claim to have all consoles and have all types of games should post in those gaming setup thread. sumtimes i dont believe they bought 2 versions of the same game or have 2 of each consoles in different rooms :| u should make this into a picture thread too

Just look through some of the setup threads if you are curious who has what they say they have. Generally you can tell who's full of crap pretty easily though.

I used to care, but then reality struck and I realized that I actually cared if someone was telling me the truth or not on the Internet of all places. So while I don't care if people lie on this forum about what they played/own, it is very hilarious to see them caught in that lie (i.e. PS_John).

I could care less. I don't care about how much money they have available to spend, I just care about the argument they put on the table.

I think you can judge fairly well from the post as well as from post history. Nothing says that someone that owns all the systems can't have favorites or negative views of a system or a game. I do think though that if someone post more than a quick fanboy oneliner that they are most likely being honest.

Yes, but I still don't care about their opinions. An opinion is still an opinion whether it comes from an elitist or a fanboy.

As much as i believe people are on there 3rd,4th or 5th 360 ( mine still works fine and is 2years old) and as much as most ps3 owners have a gaming pc

Of course. Owning all 3 consoles doesn't render anyone immune from being a fanboy. But in the very least, any factual items can be cross-checked and verified. For example, the fact that PS3 cannot to cross-game invites the same way that the 360 does it... or that the 360 does not support Blu Ray... those can be checked by parties on either side of the argument.

At the end of the day, an opinion is an opinion and those can't really be argued. However, for any given tibit of information.... having all consoles gives everyone a common point of reference.
