It doesn't need to "win" to succeed.

As long as you obtained large ammounts of personal enjoyment out of the product (as I did with the Xbox and Gamecube last gen) then they have succeeded and fufilled their purpose.

1. Saying someone needs to be smarter is in no way implying they are already smart. Someone living on the poverty level can say "I want to be richer." Someone who is 5'3 can say "I want to be taller."

2. I have a job, thank you. I work for a CC processing company. I have $600. But being "smart" is being financially responsible and understanding a concept called "value" - that is, is the PS3 worth to me what I'll be parting with in order to get it. The answer is no.

Saying something is too expensive means that it doesn't hold enough value to warrant its price.  If someone held an inkpen in front of me and told me it cost $100, I could afford it.  But I won't buy it.
