When will $500 Laptops, run PS4 games at same settings?

Mine is fairly equivelent to a PS4 but it costs a lot more than $500. :P  I think it would take 6-8 odd years for an el-cheapo laptop to hit that kind of power. 

With Intel graphics, I bet around 2016. Each year Intel gets more gaming oriented. The Iris Pro 5200 is basicly made for gaming. Cant wait to see what more Intel has for gaming.

That laptop is an A10 is highly under power vs the PS4,and i think way over priced to you could get a 680M or a 7970M one with that king of money.

yes by next year you will be able to build a PC for $500 that beats the PS4.  Right now if you are in the market for an upgrade it will cost you much less to just upgrade your PC to smoke the PS4 instead of actually getting one.  You can buy a GPU that smokes the PS4 for less than $200 now.  So yes by next year you can build a $500 PC that smokes the PS4 in terms of performance.   This shouldn't be a surprise to no one.  PC moves at a rapid pace.

You can get a Sony Vaio for the same price as a PS4 but I wouldn't say it comes close in graphics...

The portable gaming market will keep improving but don't expect sub 500$ gaming laptops anytime soon. (if at all)

Most gamers don't play their games on their laptops. They use a Highend Gaming PC. I play a few simple games on my Laptop, but it's only because my current desktop PC is toast. :lol: My primary gaming is done on game consoles anyways.

Exactly. This is why gamers build their own gaming PC's. It's a lot cheaper that way and a lot less then expensive laptops.

None of which are going to outperform a Ps4 and all of which are over 500 dollars.

Not with next-gen consoles. Radeon HD 7950 BE (3.046 TFLOPS @ 850Mhz base clock)/Radeon HD 8950/Radeon HD R9-270 (900Mhz @ 28 CU, 3.2 TFLOPS)** already has similar FLOPS gap like GeForce 8800 GTX (518.43 GFLOPS) vs Xbox 360 (240 GFLOPS).

**Radeon HD 7950 BE or 8950 gets renamed into Radeon HD R9-270 as mid-high range SKU below the AMD Hawaii.

ATI doesn't exist and AMD is GPU competitive to NVIDIA. NVIDIA has a $hitty ARM CPUs i.e. AMD Jaguar could beat it.

Leaked AMD Streamroller benchmarks has placed it between Intel Sandybridge and Ivybridge on IPC and NVIDIA has nothing.

It would need a laptop with AMD Kaveri with 8 CUs IGP + AMD GPU with 10 CUs.

Really? If anybody said anything other than 2014 they are trolling. There are Laptops that beat next gen right now. The X99 chipsets and DDR4 are gonna hit the streets 2014-2015. Console gaming will be a joke spec wise when this happens. And I have a PS4 and X1 preordered. GoldenElementXL

8750M (6 CU) is not quite a crossfire partner GPU for the incoming AMD Kaveri APU's 8 CU IGP.

PS; My old 5730M plays all current multiplats @ 720p and medium/high details.
