When will the Wii U show its superiority over the last gen consoles?

The Wii U has been released 6 months ago and I have yet to see anyy game  out or announced that look better than GeOW 3, UC 2/3, and just about every high end ps3/360 game. I really want to like the Wii U, but I just cant fathom buying a last gen system at a premium. When the Wii U shows a clear advantage over those consoles, my interest will go up.

I don't know if it will,but that "X" game sure does look sweet.

Nintendo has gone down the path of not needing to "wow' everyone. They will stick with what people want.

Wii U is the only system I would consider getting this gen.

Well it now has some good games, that instantly makes it superior to PS3.

Mario Kart, Smash Bros...1080p@60fps.

When it actually gets better 1st party support and more 3rd party support.

This. Bayonetta 2 looks significantly better than the first as well. I'm not expecting a huge jump visually but I think Wii U gets put down a lot and is more capable than people think.

if ur interested in graphcis rather than fun factor and gameplay. even next gen consoles are useless, go get a high end pc

Probably never cuz developers have 7-8 years experience with X360 and PS4. By the time the few devs making Wii U games get good at it nobody will care because PS4 and Xbox One will be out.

Lol, like somebody can get a "high end" PC for $300-$500 like they can a console.

It has nothing over last gen, heck, even the Wii has better titles than it so far.
Even for a Nintendo fan, that is hard to deny.

So forget about Xbox One, PS4 and next Gen games, it has still yet to beat Wii, PS3, 360.

It will give the machine time. Nintendo is by my estimation the only system worthy of my dollars. No online fee, backwards compatible, new ways of playing. Graphics and specs are just that, I prefer clear crisp art design as opposed to how real we can make it look. It's all relative and subjective.iHailPhilly

I have a Wii U already, will get a PS4 and always have a semi-current gaming PC. I can't imagine going without Nintendo's 1st party IPs... but I can't imagine only having them to play as well.

Nintendo is dead to me.

I was the biggest nintendo fanboy back in the snes/n64 days. They have focused away from the core gamer and don't have strong 3rd party support.  The Wii will be my last nintendo purchase ever.

It's a tight race for me. Alot depends on how you define Twilight Princess, is it merely a nice addition due to being a port, or does it count as a megaton release? I don't have an answer for that.

X & Mario Kart 8.

Better draw-distances, more foilage & better lighting than current-gen consoles.

It's not a massive difference tho.

Next Zelda and Metroid should look spectacular too. (if they go for realistic styles)

This board couldn't even tell you what system was the most superior during 7th gen.

Shut it.  The Wii U is superior over the current gen, and when Nintendo decides, it will show the game that is clearly above the current gen.

I will venture a guess, Zelda.  Mario Galaxy showed the Wii's capabilities last gen (too bad few other games did), and another first party title will too for the Wii U.

It did that on November 18, 2012.

Wiiu can't show superiority over the last gen consoles,PS3/XBOX360,because WiiU is last gen console and the WiiU CPU is weaker than the xenon and teh CELL. .......and we will not see anything on the WiiU that the PS3/XBOX360 can't do.And this is the end of the story.
