X has dat scale!

This is all people seem to be able to say. Not saying all those I quoted are defending Nintendo, but mostly all the defenses I do see of them anywhere, they are discussed are future-tensed. This has been going on for years. Why is Nintendo allowed to be credited for things yet to come? Would MS and Sony get such a pass?

The OP asked a question, people answered.
What game won't be possible to make on PS3/360? Probably X that comes out next year.
That's all. What are you even talking about ?

This is a very ugly game.Nothing the PS3 can't do.
Even and Final Fantasy XIII on PS3 looks better than this.

Yeah right...
Final Fantasy XIII
Project X
Besides, I haven't seen any PS3 game do this before...
That huge scale and draw distance is clearly not something the PS360 can handle.
Watch him cry how you're using "bullshots" or something like this. ;)
FF XIII looked like crap duing gameplay anyway so I have no clue what he was thinking in the first place.
I think FF XIII looked great for its time, but it clearly looks a bit dated today, just like most other 2009-2010 PS3 games.I can always find so many of these in basically any Nintendo thread.
"When, wait, will, eventually, next, coming, future, going to...."

My statement taken on its own as you quoted would seem defensive or like I'm giving them some allowance. But I did explain it in the rest of my post.
The short of it is, most devs wont push the Wii U the way they did with the PS3/360. Its not going to be the premiere console hardware on the market so very few devs will try getting the most out of it.
And tbh I don't know if I'd call it a pass, but I do give these companies the benefit of the doubt. When the PS3 was floundering with games early on I still had enough foresight to know that the games would eventually come. "Just wait" I know, but hey it worked out. I can even say the same for my views on the PS4 at the moment. Nothing on the PS4 roster interests me, but based on past experiences I can safely assume that they will get great games eventually. Even with the lack of interesting titles on the horizon, I'm still hyped for the PS4.
So no, I'm not giving Nintendo a pass here. Really just answering the topic to the best of my ability.
Lol I remember that. Are you all actually debating with AtariKidX?
The same person who tried using 3DS shots of MHTriG to prove that MH on the PSP looks better than MH4.....

No I know, you were one of the reasons I said that not everyone I quoted was defending Nintendo. My statement taken on its own as you quoted would seem defensive or like I'm giving them some allowance. But I did explain it in the rest of my post.

I would give Nintendo the benefit of the doubt but for one thing: the Wii support has been dead for years, and the Wii U has been out for what....6+months now? If they had supported the Wii up until that time I would be MUCH more understanding in their dearth of games, but they weren't. What were they doing in that time? Every new system doesn't have a flood of software at launch and soon after, that I'll grant, but Nintendo had years to get their shit together.
Considering that, the answer to the TC's question should be: NOW.
PS4 and One will hit soon, what are they going to do?? So many are still excusing them for having no wares (or very little) when they sat on their ass and did nothing for so damn long. It frustrates me to see people always apologizing for Nintendo (that is, when Iwata's not doing it himself). They seemingly can do no wrong, and are given the benefit of the doubt no matter what they do. I honestly believe they could start selling lemonade on the side of the street and people would come screaming to their defense shoving profit charts and the like in my face, deflecting attention away from them by saying others did the same, etc. And this frustrates me because everyone being so forgiving of their continual tendencies that keep occurring gen after gen is exactly what's enabling them to continue.
I know many see me as nothing more than a Nintendo hater, but they're wrong. I grew up with and love Nintendo, which is exactly why I'm so upset at where they are today. I just don't know how else to express my frustration towards them. They are becoming a joke in that they feel entirely irrelevant; an afterthought besides the two big boys, that while....yea they make great games that I'll pick up when they eventually arrive, but they're never a first consideration. But they're the best in the industry talent-wise when they're at the top of their game (to me that's not even an arguable point), but I also fiind them to be terribly managed by a group that are incredibly out of touch with where the industry is headed and what people care for. They insist on living in their own world and it's killing them.
Nintendo's like the hottest chick on the planet who has NO idea how to strut her stuff. She's the bumbling nerd that is potentially insanely hot, intelligent, and sexy, but can't help but always stumble on her own feet.
