Where are the Microsoft exclusives?

Rare is still a good developer. They've changed, they were better before, but they're still a great dev.

MS have realised the largest audience on consoles is the casual gamers, and thus have decided to focus on casual games on the console side, along with proven big sellers, ie Halo, Gears.

The good games they make will in the future probably be on the PC.

uhh, I think people have to realize that MS is trying to get Kinect to work, kinect isn't for the core its for the casual right now if you think about it MS has more games comming that sony and Nintendo its just not our taste (for most hardcore that is) 2011 however is more than likely for the core (going be the rumours that is) also MS is going back to PC and doing the windows phone 7 in reality MS is pushing the most games of 2010. and more an likely (counting PC and windows phone) 2011. end thread :PmayceV

Gears of War 3 in spring and something else in fall. Maybe sequels to things that happened 2-3 years ago inbetween. I think Forza 4 is pretty likely.

They've been putting all of their time and hype into Kinect and in preparing for its launch, which they are treating as a new system. You really have to count the Kinect games but, considering how terrible they are I think most people would rather forget them.

You've got to be reasonable as well. Microsoft doesn't have that many first party studios like Sony so they put more time and resources for their Kinect line-up because it "needs" to be a success for them. On the other hand, Sony is pretty much putting their paw at EVERYTHING which may sound cool but it's not really pushing any boundaries or who knows if they will make a profit at it.

Either way, 360 exclusive or not... Kinect games really don't seem to be pushing any boundaries either... Well besides the no controller thing. I'd rather move my character around a 3D map rather than being on-rails.

If you ask me, we will see a 'core' game from Rare in 2011 during the holiday season. Microsoft, despite clearly focusing on Kinect, will still cater to their core market, even if it only means a few exclusives a year. We have Gears in Spring, but nothing in Fall/Winter. I can't see them just neglecting the second half of 2011 completely in terms of core games, and Rare have been working away for the past couple of years on things we know nothing about, so it only makes sense imo. I can't see Lionhead having anything big ready. 343 I suppose is a possibiity, but a very unlikely one I think. Turn 10 could have a PGR5 out I suppose (and hope :P)

Sorry to burst bubbles, but Rare is not Microsofts best dev'. Not even close. But of course thats just my educated opinion! :)

PDZ came out a year earlier than those games, and it was great fun online. I was hooked on Infection.

As far as I understand, the audience Kinect is marketed towards love the games that will be coming out for it. Easy to pick up and play and easy to set down. It will be a great device for drawing in children and then keeping them interested in the library the 360 offers.

Alan Wake was the only good xbox 360 exclusive i played this year so far. Hope Remedy make a sequal. Mext week, Reach will keep me busy.

Halo Reach this year & Geow3 will be more than enough for the coming months to me... currently am much more focused on PC :P

No, but I would expect myself to play Kinect with my sons, then play Halo Reach with my friends.

He may be level 1 but he speaks the truth everyone can admit this year MS has barely any GREAT exclusive games with the exception of Halo Reach which will be fun to play.
